I made a wager and lost it. Good luck to you all.
Why do people make wagers on a message board? If you like the board and lose then you have lost something you enjoyed. But, if you win you get nothing more than you could have gotten by using the ignore feature. Seems crazy to me.
My wager wasn't exactly that. I certainly didn't want my opponent to leave.
Offer up a donation of time or $$$ to charity instead.
Hey, whatever works for you I guess. Personally, I enjoy my life too much to get that serious over discussions on a message board. I never let things like who won an election dictate any part of my life, I just keep on keeping on
Nah...don't go. Make a generous concession speech, admit you were wrong and stick around.
The world only gets better when people stick around and work out their differences - a political board can't be much different.
Well I ws wrong on my reading of the polls, 15% of CNN respondents said Obama response to Obama was a major factor intheir vote.
No matter, I was dead wrong. I made Separate agreements with TP & Jack Bauer and I don't welsh on 'bets'/agreements. I am banning myself from the the political board.
LOL... dude, you seem to misunderstand me. I'm not that serious about it, which was why I was willing to take the risk.
Never wanted that.
Just the mod factor. But, up to you.
See Post #6.
I didn't make any bets, so I'll be here to provide snarky one-liners and occasional insight on Islam and the Middle East/South Asia region.
It's good to have the ME/SA desk competently staffed Nik... what with all the interest that goes to the region and the paucity of insight we usually see associated with it
I'll take the role of giving wildly unilateral, brutal stances on random issues you would never expect me to hold that position on.
Who's got wildly optimistic republican pipe-dream predictions?
Stay..... 58 million voted against the moron for the ages. There is still hope for this country.
How's that taste in your mouth this morning?
Yeah, 58 million voted against him but 59-60 million voted for him! and guess what? in a turn of fate, he's going to get 47% of the votes.....Oh how sweet it is, how sweet it is!
Khayos & 13,
Good luck, America is changing, the Pop Culture, the Anything Goes people are winning, that is normal, nothing stays the same, someday something new will come along and it will be their turn to fade out.
The Liz Warrens, The Kennedys, The Left Wing Moonbats, The Phony Grinning Do-Gooders, The Show Biz Degenerates, it's their turn America now belongs to them.
Good Luck To You Both, America has spoken, the country is on it's way to God only knows where.
Looks like we're all set!
Now where were we?....
I knew Obama was going to win, so I wasn't suprised........doesn't make his election any less stupid
LOL at your joy.....you make it sound as though the last 4 years were so good
Elections Have Consequences...
so torn on this one...I could seriously deal without the crap-tastic views...but
the debate is what keeps this place interesting, and it pains me to say this...I'd miss you guys.
