The man charged with killing a father and two sons on a San Francisco street last month was one of the youths who benefited from the city's long-standing practice of shielding illegal immigrant juveniles who committed felonies from possible deportation, The Chronicle has learned.

Edwin Ramos, now 21, is being held on three counts of murder in the June 22 deaths of Tony Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16. They were shot near their home in the Excelsior district when Tony Bologna, driving home from a family picnic, briefly blocked the gunman's car from completing a left turn down a narrow street, police say.

I can only hope that the family sues the City for BILLIONS

(07-18) 19:20 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- Three more juvenile illegal immigrant drug dealers sent by San Francisco to group homes hundreds of miles from the city have escaped, prompting juvenile probation officials to try to bring back the only youth remaining at such a center.

The two latest escapees left an undisclosed group home in Visalia (Tulare County) on Thursday, said William Siffermann, San Francisco's juvenile probation chief. Siffermann said he had only learned of the third case, the June disappearance of an offender from another group home in Visalia, on Friday.

The three were among the offenders previously protected from possible deportation under a long-standing city policy against handing over juvenile illegal immigrants to federal authorities, even those convicted of felonies.

This is exactly the type of half-ass liberal policies you can count on in an Obama Administration!!!!

This POS should have been deported forn even being charges with a felony. He at least should have been in prison until his trial. WTF are they thinking?

You can expect the criminal friendly ACLU will step in and bail this POS out of jail so he can flee back to Mexico.

HAdn't thought of that but you are 100% correct. The ACLU won't left a finger to help the families of the victims however. ;)

All he needed was a drivers license, and he'd have known that the right of way isn't determined by killing 3 people.

Now, you are assuming that this guy has a license, I highly doubt that (Under the REAL ID act, illegals are not supposed to ge DLs), however, I'm sure that SF ignored this law too.
