And personally, I'm very, very pleased by this fact.

I guess Tiger is trying to keep what happened "personal", but that's just too bad Mr Woods. Whether you like it or not...whether you think it's fair or not, we WILL know exactly what happened. As is our right based upon our laws.

So anyone out there who thinks a violent marital spat is your own business....

    NOPE, YOU'RE WRONG!

One way or another, if the police get involved, it will be everyone's business.

One might ask why I like this fact. I like it because no wife or husband beater deserves privacy....that's why!:D

What evidence is there that there was any violence toward either spouse? Has there been a complaint filed?

As of today, the police are demanding that Woods answer their questions and they are also demanding the medical records.

They have a right to know if it was spousal abuse....and I like that! Spousal abuse is not a personal matter....very similar to child abuse.

Let's face it, she was attacking him with a golf club after finding out he is banging another woman. He attempted to escape her wrath while he was high on vicodin and subsequently hit a tree and hydrant. Good times.

    High on Vicodin???

The way it usually works in these cases is that the abuser is usually arrested and removed from the sitz, pending some legal action the next day... clearly he is obstructing, but the law works different for rich and poor folks..

From what I understand Police do not have a right to demand answers from anyone without a good reason and once they have that reason they must apply the law to get their answers. In other words arrest him or butt out. They can ask if they can ask questions but they cannot demand that he answer any.

There is no good reason here?? A wrecked car, injuries.. a woman with a golf club(weapon)???

This whole case reeks of probable cause...

Tiger Woods has complied with everything he is required to comply with in this investigation. He stated his name, he provided a drivers license and proof of insurance. That is all he is required by law to do. From what I understand, he is directing all other police inquiries to go through his lawyer which is the smart thing to do.

+1. In fact you know that law that says spouses can never be forced to testify against each other? Some states have rules that overrule that law when it comes to domestic violence although I have no idea if Florida is such a state.

Allegedly his injuries are not consistent with a car crash. I am sure the police will eventually see the hospital's report and then determine whether or not they have probable cause to investigate domestic violence. And domestic violence is one of those crimes where you do not need a complaint because all too often an abused wife will not want to file a complaint or press charges. Thanks to the feminsists domestic violence has its own little set of bylaws.

I disagree PR. We don't live in a police state. The police can't demand information simply because they want it. In this instance, it's a police issue, cuz the accident happened in a public street. If this happened in his driveway, and he drove into his own wall, then the police could get the finger for all I care, unless of course, one of the persons involved asked for their assistance.

This guy's like 1/2 an athlete. At the very least he's a 20 something year old male in good shape...

getting knocked around by a Swedish supermodel?

Uh officers, don't you have speed traps to man?

My bet is she slapped him. Maybe drew a little blood with her fingernail, maybe just a minor bruise, and his face got more damaged in his accident.

Its likely he took out his anger on his car's tires and his own face instead of her and yet even though he probably acted exactly like any man who's not a scumbag, the cops just have to stick their noses in. If I was Tiger I wouldn't want to end up looking like one of those degenerates on COPS either.

If police are called based on violence of any kind ... they must act on it. But they were called for the accident. He cannot be forced to testify against her. I don't think the police can do anything here unless there was a witness. Just my opinion ... police are doing their due diligence but it will go nowhere.

My point is this. If they feel they have enough to apply the law then they must apply the law. They can't simply demand answers and hold that against him if he refuses to answer. He has every right to refuse to talk at this point. The police may request his cooperation but they cannot demand it.

I'm surprised they haven't shown a crowd shot of Tiger's front lawn yet.

I agree and Mike Huckabee is just as bad as Mike Dukakis.
