Who's this for, people like Rick Perry? or the folks on this board who've made it clear they have no regard for the Constitution?

It's for people who use the constitution to try and destroy the constitution,

    example
man trys to blow up city hall, he's caught, this is the first things he says "i know my rights"

Gotta love how cons rationalize that if you "hate" their curious vision of America, you must "leave" America.

Not try to advocate fixing it, instead just leave.

Honestly, it's cons who "hate America." Or certainly hate anyone different from them in their gated community. Hate government, hate gays, hate Mexicans, hate urban kids, hate Muslims, hate worker's rights, hate feminism, hate social programs, hate regulation, hate dissent, hate atheists, hate acknowledging uncomfortable American history, hate environmentalists, hate liberals, hate the Jews. ... (although, they're warming up to the latter for mutual, albeit temporary, benefit).

They love guns, 8-cylinder trucks, trans fats, bloated prison sentences, the Bible, shiny phallic-looking missiles, poor kids fighting their wars, corporate corruption, and segregation though. That's their America the "others" need to "leave."

I love my country more then anyone and I will always stand by its flag and what it stands for......

I will however stand up and say something when it goes astray when it makes wrong choices and when it stops being what its supposed to be!

    A wise man once said:

Stand with anybody that stands right, stand with him while he is right and part with him when he goes wrong.

    "Abraham Lincoln"

Think for the most part everyone loves this country,I just think a lot of people don't like where it is and where its heading.....;) Rich are getting richer and the rest of us are left out to dry, they own our government they own are media and they own all of us! It truly is a sad time in our history....

The right once again shows its inability to understand that exercising your constitutional rights is what it is.. the american way.

Instead they want us all to march in unison to the dictates of the corporatists while saying "praise jesus" every second step..

Dissent is the highest form of patriotism..

It's a right winger making a video on how to renounce your citizenship. Obviously, this video will be watched by right wingers, not liberals. (I watched only about 30 seconds of it.)

So, it's fair to assume that this video is really for American hating right-wingers (under the cover of saying it's for liberals). You know the type -- the type who want to use absurd conspiracy theories and legal arguments based, not on the Supreme Court, but on their own thinking, to overthrow our democracy and install a government more to their liking.

Most Jews don't buy into the sincerity of it, so that's something I suppose.

In any event, I guess we could have both sides telling the others to leave the country. That'd be cool.

Coming from conservatives, this is a good laugh -- thanks, KD.

Rick Perry, Todd Palin -- support destroying the Union
Michele Bachman -- thanks New Hampshire for Lexington and Concord
The whole right wing -- constant drum-beat against the U.S. government

You guys don't love America, you love corporations headquartered in America -- you're just confused about the difference.

    headquarters in America

It's who most of us uneduacted ass holes work for to feed our famlies, I'm glad we have big business in America, I've lived a good life working for them and raised a large family, I now live very comfortabley, The Liberal side of me PRAISES the Union, the Bosses who directed me could never ever "Sh!t On Me"

Without Big Business, without the Millionaire Leaders there would be No Unions, there would be no Jobs.

I was once a Democrat until the Far Left Wing Dictator Do-Gooders took over and started telling me how I should live my private life, who I should bring home to dinner and what kind of car I should drive.

I don't believe I should stay out of the park at night because I may be assaulted I believe our society should make sure that THE CRIMINAL STAYS OUT OF THE PARK.

I beleive in calling a Duck "A Duck"

Common Sense and Reality Will Someday Return To America, you have to hit rock bottom before you start to rise again, we are almost there.

Harry, I think you live an isolated existence. The reality is that things are not a lot different than when you were a boy. The murder rates during prohibition were just as high as the murder rates today. When prohibition ended, homicide rates dropped by almost 50%. It's one of the biggest arguments that are used by those favoring drug legalization today. And, Harry, who opposes drug legalization? Democrats and Republicans, but not liberals and libertarians. So the left and right are in rough agreement on this issue.

Crimes relating to sexual violence and violence against kids may well have been higher in the past because it was almost never reported. When Sigmund Freud wrote a paper in the 1900s that many women are victims of sexual abuse by family members he was blasted by the entire scientific community, so much so that he (sadly) retracted the paper. It was not until the 1970s (women's lib) that we began to admit that there was a lot of child abuse and child sexual abuse.

In the 1950s, the crime rate shot up as a direct result of changes in the definition of larceny. (Larceny before then was a high stakes crime; now I believe any robbery can be considered larceny.) Crime rates continue to climb because in many states possession of marijuana is still treated as a felony.

The fact is Harry, in your day, violent crime was mostly reported only in the tabloids. Today it's reported on tv (especially local Fox News in the Boston area), on radio, in the newspapers, and through the many tv police stories that sensationalize the most awful kinds of violent crimes. I live in the city and work in "bad areas." I have clients who live day and night in the worst areas (white, black, and Hispanic) of Boston. The support staff where I work don't earn much and live in these same "bad" areas. Most people are safe. I think your view of the U.S. is distorted. Sure there's crime, and there are some awful crimes, but things aren't much different than they were in the past. Frankly, the worst times may have been during Prohibition and during the Pioneer era in the lawless west.

(I think you edited your post Harry, so I'm responding to what you originally wrote about crime an common sense.)

Well, you may be right, but it seems as I remember that times were much safer in the city's, common sense was always used, people treated each other better, society hardly ever blamed the victim (don't go in the park at night) they did blame women for many "rapes" there has always been crime and cruelty and there always will be it is "reality" cavemen did it now the worlds leaders do it, my time has come and gone, it's a whole new world.

    Here's a new one popping up.............:singing:

Harry, we've had this discussion before. In your day, your parents complained about how times have changed. In their day, their parents complain about how times have changed. I feel it at times, since I haven't fully adapted to some of the modern mores, but my parents (believe me!) didn't take it easy when my sister lived with a guy out of wedlock, when my other sister was dating a black man, and certainly when I came out. (They were ultimately accepting, but in each case it took them time even years.) I am completely cool with those kinds of things, as are my siblings with children. But, now people of my generation watch SNL or listen to the modern music and honestly we're a little taken aback by some of the stuff. I mean, hilarious routines like this I think shock me more than it shocks someone half my age, and you perhaps see it as the decline of civilization:

The Lonely Island - Jizz In My Pants - YouTube

We have to accept the world as it changes, but try to keep people safe and working. If we do those two things, then we have an okay world. I don't think liberalism has failed in that regard. The fact is that crime and unemployment have not really changed that much even as our society has grown more complicated. If we ever solve the drug problem, then I think crime would drop by at least 50%.

I think we should spend a fortune on educating kids about the dangers of drugs. When I lived in Sweden, where the socialist government massively promoted drug education, I once got into a conversation with a group of punks. I asked one of them if he knew where I could get some pot. He said to me: "Oh, I would never use pot. It's a gateway drug." Right now, many if not most of the drug addicts and alcoholics sober up to massive debt, probation, no job (and great difficulty finding jobs), no home, rejected by family, not eligible for benefits, wrecks of relationships, as well as the underlying problem that might have driven them to drugs (such as witnessing or experiencing violence as a child). If we don't invest in programs to give them jobs, then a return to their other life often is the less awful choice for them.

Hey by the way, Harry, though I appreciate your response, I mentioned specific Republicans with links to secessionist parties that want to destroy The Union, not one or another labor union, the United States.
