Every year its someone different..first its Jason Street, then Ryan leaf, then Matt Saracen, the Peyton Manning, then JD Mcoy, the Vick, Then Brees, then Rodgers.

come on people of the sports world, stop being prisoners of the moment.

Real classy. I'm sure in '07 you couldn't get enough of it when it was the Pats that was getting slurped all year long.

What Rodgers is doing is arguably more impressive even. I've never seen ANY QB play at this high of a level, ever.

Rogers is playing great and solid this season, but one needs to put into perspective the competitions he has face, hardly the best of the league . . .

for the teams yeilding most passing yards, he has faced the following Ds, 4, 12, 13, 14, 19, 23, 28, 30, other than SD, he has faced the mid to lower half of the league . . .

for those teams yeilding the highest QB rating, with 1 being the highest QB rating yeilded by a team's D, Rogers has faced 1, 4, 5, 6, 9, 12, 14, 21 . . . so basically 5 of the top 10 Ds yeilding QB rating . . .

so the only top 10 that Rogers has faced are 5 of the teams that yeild the top 10 QB rating for the opponent's QB

just saying . ..

Aaron Rodgers is blessed with the easiest schedule in the league. Good for him. I'm still not impressed. I guess he'll throw like 5 more TDs and no INTs and complete nearly every pass this weekend against Minnesota, oh and next weekend too against Tampa Bay. *yawn* Hit me up after the Lions and Giants game.

There's GREAT QBs like Brady, where defenses and coaches have to plan for and make blueprints for.

I don't think there's any coaches or defenses trying to make up a gameplan or blueprint to stop Aaron Rodgers. They just don't respect his game like that. The teams he's facing, clearly sucks, the coaches know they don't have any good enough players to execute anything, so they just throw in the towel or hope their QBs can score enough points... like Minnesota, New Orleans, Denver, Atlanta, St.Louis, San Diego, yeah and Minnesota again this weekend.

Well the packs/rodgers will be tested in the final 8 games when they will be facing some good/great defenses. Lets see how he does than.

Lmao you just sound like an idiot. So coaches do not gameplan against the reigning super bowl mvp.. and the team who is 8-0? LMAO

I completely agree, and feel like we've been dissed in one paragraph, nice job,lol

Rodgers is certainly a good QB, but hes faced a very easy schedule so far. lets see what happens when he has to face tougher teams the 2nd half of the season and the weather gets colder.

for all the wringing about the pats defense, the packers gave up 38 points to Rivers...most of their games have been shootouts

Exactly how far back do you go? Just askin'.

That's right, fool. I'm a Patriots fan. Accordingly, I enjoy things more when they do well.

Want a cookie? I'll even spring for a Newman's Own.

Just knowing how much Brett Favray is hating this makes me root for Aaron Rodgers even more. BTW don't look now but the Packers have a real shot at going undefeated.

Aaron Rodgers is a great player but in a year were 14 QB's are on pace to throw for over 4000 yards who cares

Exactly who is fielding these "good/great defenses" over the last eight games. Based on current stats from NFL.com, here are the rankings of his final eight opponents (lower numbers are better)

Team def pass Yds/game D pts/game offense pts/game
MIN 20 25 20
TB 29 23 24
DET 10 6 3
NYG 19 20 13
OAK 27 27 17
KC 21 26 26
CHI 23 14 10
DET 10 6 3
average 20 18 15

Based on defense passing yards per game allowed, he faces just the lions in the for top 10 teams. On points allowed, still just the lions in the top 10. Looking at the offenses they'll face (on the chance the packers might have to play catch up) the bears and lions are the only two in the top 10 and the Packers already easily handled the bears AT the bears.

I live in Packer country and the nut hugging is other worldly. I've never heard a fan base use "we" more often we speaking about a team, never seen such smugness and such blindness to the fact that their team hasn't faced a decent team all season. Yes Rodgers is playing the best football of anyone in the NFL right now and his last four seasons have been mighty impressive, but he still has years to go of performing at this high level to be considered in the GOAT talks. Personally, I think they go 19-0. Look at their schedule, the only real chance I see of them losing is at the Lions on Thanksgiving.

Going undefeated is such a fluky thing, I have a hard time believing it will happen again. Even the year we did it, we could have lost to the Ravens, Eagles, or Giants.

But honestly, the thing that would scare me most if I'm a Packers fan isn't any team that's coming up, or any elite defense, or even any top line offense that can run and gun with them... what would scare me most is Ndamukong Suh. If that guy gets one half clean look at Rodgers on a rush, he's not going to care about suspensions or fines, he's going to try to hurt him.

And they still have to face him twice.

lmao, so many haters in this thread. Rodgers is dominating the NFL right now and the Pack are clearly above every team. Yeah the competition isn't THAT great but Rodgers is dismantling every team he plays.

Only team I can see competing with them is MAYBE the Saints but we all know how that went...

Lol, he looks like a porn star circa 1972.

Well for the record, Brees is the one qb in the nfl besides Brady that I can stand. He's about the only one who, plays at a high level and doesnt act like he is king sh!t..just goes out and does his thing.

honestly, this years Packers remind me alot of last years Patriots...blowing out team after team, building a false sense of confidence while everyone(including the media) is ignoring the pink elephant in the room...then we meet a team that can slow down our offense and we lose

that Packers offense had to score 45points to win against the chargers....for all the wringing about the patriots defense, the packers gave up 38points to the chargers...if phil rivers doesnt choke like he usually does, who knows how many he puts up on them. vs. most decent QB's its been a shootout where Rodgers has had to pull them...im not sure thats a formula that can work for 16games(maybe im wrong and it can)...if they face the Saints in the playoffs, I think theyre a team who could beat them.

for all the wringing about the patriots defense, we have never given up that many points to an opponent this season(although i suppose the bills game of 34pts was close)...but our weakness' are more glaring because we lost 3games while the packers have outshot their teams.

im interested what happens when they face a team like the Lions who have a potent offense as well as a pretty good defense/d-line

Weren't the same haters saying last week they wanted see how the packers do against the chargers. Now they are have changed to the lions. The chargers were getting blown out last week until they recovered an onside kick. Unlike the patriots, the packers defense made a stop on the chargers last drive to end the game.

I don't care about rodgers or the packers but you guys are turning to the rest of the nfl fan bases, hating on a player because he's good, and yours is currently struggling. Rodgers is the best player in the nfl, he threw a long pass to nelson on sunday that was similar to that pass brady could not complete to price. On the move, he threw a pass 60 yards down field to nelson like it was nothing. That play is what makes him better than brady. Brady struggles on the run and his accuracy reduces when he throws above 40 yards.
Whether it's a fluke or not, he's playing at a different level than anybody else.
