Re: If the Raiders release Lamont Jordan.......
Yup, he's supposed to be 100% recovered from the back injury, but they've benched him. Kiffen gave some excuse about the running game not clicking with Jordan.
I think he'll clear waivers, and hit the market. He's had a few injuries lately, and the Raiders benched him, so I don't think anyone will want to pick up the remainder of his contract. Instead they'll all hope to be the team that signs him on the cheap, and if he doesn't work out it won't matter. That's if the Raiders do in fact release him, lol!
Lamont is a player I always liked, and he seems to have the type of ability that could fit in with the Patriots.
I've been thinking about this scenario for several weeks now. The problem, though, is if a team claims him, they're only on the hook for this year's salary, which isn't prohibitive. There's no way a team in the AFC is going to allow him to go to the Patriots.
The Raiders were in first place in the AFCW, and Jordan was leading the league in rushing. He got hurt, got benched, and I don't think the Raiders have won a game since. Very curious.
