Um...what analysis do you need? That was his mathematical analysis of the Pats' opponents - that they had a sub-par winning percentage.

Though Robin...you realize that those teams are below .500 in part due to the Patriots? And in fact, playing 13 different teams in the regular season is going to get you a wide enough sample size to bring the average to...right around .500. The Pats' handing every one of those teams a loss or two pushes it down, of course. Not to mention all of the AFC East teams shooting blanks this year except for one. Curiously enough, only the top team was over .500 in both the AFC West and East.

With all due respect, both the Pats and Bolts are great teams and worthy of playing for the AFC title game in 2007; however, neither could or should be in consideration as the greatest team of all time.

NE can be discussed for best offense of all time, but I disqualify them from best team of all time due to an extremely ordinary defense unworthy of top 100 consideration.

Bolts are disqualified based on having a crybaby amateur QB leading a below average group of WR's. In addition, their defense, while talented, doesn't rank high either.

Just fight for the superbowl fellas and drop this silly best team of all time stuff. Superbowl trophies are nice too.

Do you think playing 2 teams with a combined record of 5 an 27 had any effect? Do you think NE going undefeated possibly had an effect of raising the Bolt's opponents winning percentage? Check your #'s the Pats opponents were 108-100 which is .519 not .486.

Roll your eyes all you want. Nobody said they have nothing going for them. The Chargers are a good team-fact. Do we think they will beat the Pats? No. Could they beat the Pats? Sure.

But...having a team of pro bowlers means nothing. Beating Indy twice also means nothing. The first game you beat them, you were a healthy team. Indy was not. They were battered and bruised and Manning was throwing to third string receivers. Dwight Freeney, arguably one of the league's best pass rushers was out toward the end of the game. In addition, the weather was horrible and the Chargers came within a Vinatieri missed chip shot of losing. The Chargers did beat the Colts this past weekend. Which was a great accomplishment. Again, however your team was given many gifts: (Harrison fumble, two ints that should never have happened, etc.). Heck, the Chargers even overcame injuries and bad officiating. But to claim that beating the Colts twice is a huge accomplishement is flawed.

Also, you say that winning 12 of your last 14 games is huge. Sure it is. However, who did you lose to in there? The Patriots. And, who did you beat? Let's look, shall we?

Point: Who in that list above made the playoffs? Tennessee did. And you struggled against them in both games. Indy did...but I already discussed why the first win was not a huge accomplishment. The teams you lost to ran all over you. In fact, Adrian Petersen rewrote the record book on your defense for rushing yards.

Look, nobody is dissing the Chargers...but to say that they will beat the Patriots because they have 8 pro-bowlers, have won 12 games against mostly bad teams and beat Indy twice is simply foolish.

Why did Drew Breeze leave again? If we were playing vs him I would have some concern. While it's true that any team can win any given Sunday and all that crap I just don't see it happening this Sunday.

yeah the patriots are undefeated and favored by two TD's, they should win the game. but its funny that most of you refuse to believe it is even possible your team could lose.

do you guys really believe that the chargers are that horrible? i don't care how banged up they are, do you honestly believe what most the media is telling you? do you believe there is absolutely no chance your team could lose this Sunday?

it is not the jets coming to town, its not the fins either. the chargers have a talented team that have won a lot of games in a row.

so to answer the OP's original question, if the chargers pull of the upset i still think the 2007 patriots were the best regular season team of all times.

but it would be hard for me to consider them one of the best teams period, when they wouldn't have won the SB.

more than likely we will not need to have that conversation, more than likely the pats "should" win it all. but as the cliche goes "any given Sunday" and this team is no scrub like the media pretends they are, we will see.

the problem with the colts team is everybody thinks they are 'good' after winning 1 SB last year and most people believe that Colts has a better chance to defeat pats. Come on.!

healthy colts vs healthy pats in 08 will change people's mind completely.

we are not ignorant when it comes to our team. We know what our team can do. When you have BB and TB on your side, your confident is higher.
