Idle thoughts - looking at the WR position

We have a still-excellent receiver in Moss. However, he's threatening to leave after next season.

We have a guy who was one of the top receivers in the league in Welker coming back from a bad knee injury; he should still be a very good receiver when he's back, whether or not he returns to exactly the same level.

We have some promising youngsters, one of whom has backed up the promise with nontrivial production.

With all due respect to Patten, that's about it.

We need a good vet to round out the group.

We need to draft a WR with 1 of our top 4 picks. If we can bring in Josh Reed
that would be a decent upgrade for our #3 reciever. They did'nt even use him last year, and BB raved about him before a Bills game. As far as TO. I think he could be a huge distraction considering his obsessive competition he has with the other 81 (Moss). He was on good behavoir last year because he was the man on a team he knew was going nowhere. He needed to shut up or end his career. On this team he'd be counting how many balls go to moss and himself. Recipe for disaster. So hows that Riddler

Agree wholeheartedly. An early pick at WR is a must. TO is a cancer. The Eagles' experience showed what a loser that guy is with a great QB, coach, defense, etc. In his last two stops, TO became Mr. Alligator Arms. How quickly do you think Brady will get pissed and demand he be flushed? TO is still on the market because he is a Diva and has lost his nerve. Why mess with Randy Moss who showed last year he is fragile when he didn't get enough touches? Look to the draft.

OK, while you're at it, how about:

Andre Roberts (Combine)

Ht: 5107
Wt: 195 lb
40 yard dash: 4.40
10 yard split: 1.52
3 cone: 6.77
short shuttle: 4.15

Great hands, great work ethic, strong punt returner, moves like a 3rd-down RB type with the ball in his hands.

Could we get this thread moved to the Draft forum? I think there's interest in continuing it there.
