I have to admit, I only got through about 20 minutes of his show before I had to turn it off.

Dude is amazingly insane. I had never seen his "Intro" before either.....MLK must be puking in his grave....amazing...I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the conclusions he jumped to while skimming on the sea of misinformation. The entire show he has a red phone that was a hotline for the white house to call the show if they heard any false information. I counted 15 seconds until he did such, then at the end of my 20 minutes of viewing, I actually lost count at how many false statements were made by Beck.

His main focus, I think, was "Indoctrination". He had a chalk board, he was condescending. He claimed to report fact, and reported his skewing of bad information as such. At no point did he reference anything (Minus a Pew study that HE said claimed FOX had the most balanced 'election' coverage)

I see his schtick for what it is, he somehow pulls the 'radio host one one one with the listener' off....I get it. But none of what he is actually saying is factual, nor is it an attempt to do anything but rile up the listener and spread fear. This is why it is sad that an icon of non violent protest, such as MLK should be featured in Beck's intro...

    Its BEYOND Bzzaro.

My question to my friends who watch him and post here is :

Do you think Glenn Beck is providing you with News?

and secondly.....Do you think he is right?

You made through 5 more minutes than I was able to the one time I watched it. He's a wack job. I don't know what he said that was actually innacurate in the show you watched but it would be interesting to have the White House call him out on his "facts". They do a lot of complaining about Fox News but just generally.

I didn't watch yesterday and can only watch the second half as it's on early here. Did his White House phone ring yet ?

Beck is hit and miss for me but I generally like him.

Fox News is the ultimate capitalist news station, meaning ultra sensationalist and preys on fears/emotions, all for the eyeballs.

There is only a minor difference between Fox and the National Enquirer.

There would be better discussion here if some members would tune in to Fox. Stepping beyond the mantra is food for the soul of the imaqination. Obama would be sailing into the wild blue yonder if it weren't for Fox. As long as we have Fox, Rush, Beck, Savage, Free Republic and a few others we still have a chance.

    ummmm...no

The day the White House is ready to pounce on a phonecall to Glenn Beck, is the day that we need to think about what our leadership is actually doing. Nice try Glenn.

He actually brought out a puppy to compare it to the watchdog media, and asked if we should have a pitbull...I was cracking up at his insanity.

Did he mention that the 'Pitbull' was also factually incorrect, and a fear mongering canine? no...that metaphor missed him....

he started the show complaining about how our free speech was in danger, then he proceeded to call the Obama administration commies, facists and every name in the book...

somehow the fact that he was expressing his OPINION over public airwaves is lost on him.

We generally watch CNN for news and MSNBC for Rachael MadCow occasionally.....but every week or so I'll tune into FOX just to get an idea of what they're spouting over there.

I almost always get a laugh out of it - although I must admit that it does not amuse me to know that at least one of my kids uses FOX as his nightly news source.

...and CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC....

They're all the same pal. I hate to break it to you.

I generally like him, he mostly shows his work and he's a lot more original about his subject matter than most. It's better than watching Chrissy blabber on about race YET AGAIN.

Oh, good God, Madcow is the most bitter, self righteous piece of crap I've ever seen - well, second to Odorman I guess.

    Thats really not true.

Lets take teh "Tea-Parties" and the "9-12" thing for example.

at least 4 times the people showed up to protest don't ask don't tell. FOX didn't cover it, nor did they cover the fact that networks weren't covering it.

What Fox does is create false news, then complain that people don't cover it. Networks then pick up chatter about how they are not covering an event SPONSORED by Fox, and/or Beck.

Its actually schrewed, but at no point is it "NEWS"

Oh and BTW....nobody is trying to 'indoctrinate'

    thats just dumb

    Great namecalling!

I'll say this, when they (Olbermann, or Maddow) are factually wrong, they own up to it. They say they are sorry, and correct the mistake. They are not attempting to manipulate facts, or make up news.

    FOX doesn't operate that way.

What were the errors that you saw? I didn't watch last night...but, I find it interesting when people say that he makes errors, but don't give the errors that he made.

I actually should take notes or something....

During one rant he was calling out the administration, and other news networks for working in Obama's message of "Volunteerism" neglecting to mention that FOX also is plugging those messages into the programming.

Then ranted on the ills of volunteering...which I found to be REALLY strange.

Media Matters has an entire section on the guy...all the time...

Beck, right-wing media bring Mao attack to "manufacturing czar" Bloom, ignoring conservatives who have cited Mao | Media Matters for America

Next time I watch, I'll atke notes for sure.
