Spygate will contribute but not be the reason Uncle Bill will not make it into the Hall of Fame. He guaranteed that by acting like such a total a-shole to the press.

alright. If BB gets into the HOF, what will stop Barry Bonds getting into Baseball HOF?

If BB didn't cheat, he would be a 1st ballot HOF'er. But he did cheat, so it might ruin his rep. But who cares, the HOF voters are a bunch of d-bags that dont even watch football. WHy else wouldn't Monk get in?

MLB owns it's HOF and has set up rules that may impact Bonds selection only if he is precluded from entry, as is Pete Rose, by rule of the Commissioner of MLB.

Lots of guys who "cheated" or violated the rules are currently in the Pro Football HOF, including the HC/GM/President of the 49'ers the late Bill Walsh and as likely Shanny will be eventually even though his two championships were the direct result of retaining Elway via deliberate violations of the cap. Most of the Steel Curtain defense is in although it is pretty widely acknowledged steroids were being abused by that team throughout it's Chuck Noll heyday (and he's in too). (Sidebar 0 Dungy actually played for and coached under Noll in Pittsburgh in those days...hmm). And as I said earlier Paul Hornung, a player suspended by the league for a year for gambling - he's also in.

The only criteria the voters look at when selecting someone for the HOF is career impact on the game (dominance) and stats compiled over a career. Bill has 5 rings and counting that say he's a first ballot HOF'er, and while a few in the media temporarily hysterically huffed and puffed at the outset, the hue and cry about his legacy has pretty much died out as reason gradually again took over.

Manning became a first ballot lock once he got the no ring monkey off his back. Dungy on the other hand may need another to make it even given his saintly following.

1.) Monk could go either way and the vote would not be wrong, and Redskins fans should admit that. If you want to gripe about Monk not being in, get in line behind a more deserving candidate, Andre Tippett.

2.) Baseball has a 'morals clause' in its Hall of Fame that football does not.

3.) Belichick didn't cheat, he was found guilty of violating a league rule. Yes, there really is a difference, as I've shown numerous times and I'm not going to bother showing again.

BB is a douche, plain and simple. He has been videotaping people since his Cleveland days. He was in fact videotaping in Greenbay last year. If he videotaped a lowly team like Green Bay last year, one has to wonder whether they were spying on teams like Colts or not. This spygate fiasco poses a question. Did he videotape teams in the years Patriots won the superbowl? The answer is obviously yes. The truth is this: BB got exposed ONLY because he was dealing with Mangini, who worked under BB. IMHO, BB would still be cheating if it weren't for Mangini.
BB is a cheater, period. He cheated on his wife, and he cheats at work. If this guy goes to the Hall of fame, NFL will have lost all integrity. This is how *most* NFL fans who aren't Patriots fans feel BTW.

Andre will probably get in eventually, he got in the top 10.

He's going to have to wait in line though. Individually maybe more deserving, but Art was a team leader on 3 SB teams.

When you get pulled over for speeding, do you tell the officer that everyone else was too? No offense, but only a Patriot fan would have this point of view. Once you're caught you're caught, everything is thrown out the window. You guys need to let it go and take your lumps.

Your team is gonna get beat tomorrow. Haaa ha.

I find it funny that so many non patriot fans have been coming to this board lately and discussing pretty much everything except the football games itself. I wonder why...

These are the topics of discussion on your board.

What will you do tomorrow when your team is down by 30 pts? Will you turn off the game? Will you get mad at the coach? Will you come here to say that BB is not going to the hall? Gosh, you have some very good options.

I understand that you would want to change the subject from your team to whether or not some other dude was going in the hall. It makes perfect sense. Your team stinks. Focus on other things so that you can get through the day.

BB will never make HoF. He has been pegged as a cheater,
Good, take away his three previous super bowls and he's still going to win three more without the stupid tapes. If you can look at the team's personnel and the way they come prepared and think that's about a tape scam then you are on some substance.

Every team cheats or comes close to it anyway. Why ***** about it? It's endemic to the sport. It's been there since the old days of Hallas and Paul Brown. Are you kidding me? Don't whine about what the nature of the sport. It's a sport of intrigue and espionage and chess moves made by smart people who pull all-nighters trying to get the edge with study of tapes. A lot of hard work goes into the preparation, and probably .001% of it comes from useless tapes about signals that change from week to week.

I'd rather see the NFL continue to be a league of espionage anyway because if you remove that, you've removed the balls from the bull, you have a steer, and you're going to slaughter.

Yes I work for the gov't
.....

BB got busted by teacher. Deal with it. He is tarnished. He will never be in the HoF.
all I can add is that y'all must be employed at the Food and Drug Administration Special Division Testing of the Long Term Effects of the Co-ingesting of Hallucinogenics and Cialis because not only are you out of your mind wack but y'all able to keep it up for a long, long time here on these pages

kudos

Good lord man. What are you babbling about?

Interesting....

Well, yes. Brady will be tarnished along with BB for the Spygate fiasco. Will he make the HoF? I think the jury is out on that, but it certainly hurt his chances.

I do not think BB will ever recover his repute for this. He is a great coach, but will never make the HoF because of this.

Nah...won't hurt either's chances. All we have to use as a gauge is the media (who vote for HOF) and see how much this has died down. both are AUTOMATICS!:D

W'lllll gee captain, I am, ah..

I am talk'n foosball wit da captain.

And you are really teachin us pats fans what its alllll about.

We are takin our lumps cause you told us to. We will do what ever you want. Cause you duh captain. Duh.

But tomorrow, yer skinnies is gonna be sad ones. And you will keep talkin bout this and that and anything but your team. Ferget bout the hall, ferget about the tape recorders, and flyin saucers, and elvis sightings and imagine yourself watching the game all lonely and sad and blue cause it is gonna be just another game around here. Another beating.

But, you will still be able to tell pats fans to take their lumps. You duh man.

u must be kidin...they are both first ballot inductees...it will be completely easy for them to get in, BOTH of them..by the end of their respective carreers, they may both be considered the best Ever in their positions

Come on, now. When you get pulled over for speeding by 5 miles per hour in a 70mph zone, does everyone in your city start shouting that you're a criminal and demand that your house and car be repossessed? That's as valid an analogy as yours is, after all.
