what happened to all the talk about brady having benefited from the spygate stuff. How good he really is and whether it hurts his hall of fame considerations etc ? I think i heard some morons even discussing on ESPN about how could a 6th round pick become so good.No one seems to talk about it now. Week 2 everyone came out of the woodshed to doubt brady's abilities.

    Interesting....

Well, yes. Brady will be tarnished along with BB for the Spygate fiasco. Will he make the HoF? I think the jury is out on that, but it certainly hurt his chances.

I do not think BB will ever recover his repute for this. He is a great coach, but will never make the HoF because of this.

I think it was quashed by the NFL, because if the public became convinced that the Pats were cheating and the Pats kept winning, it would turn people off to football.

The spygate stuff is already fading into nothingness. A few more wins and it will be nothing more than a speedbump for BB and TBs bus ride to Canton.

Yeah, it is a very interesting subject. What IS going on? We certainly do not know.

I think there has been a "behind closed doors" spanking. I know Joe Gibbs has turned issues at GB and Philly over to the Commissioner.

My guess is that this will be addressed during the off-season.

I feel bad for Brady. I do not feel bad for BB. Brady has integrity and is a great player. I think he will make HoF. BB on the other hand will NEVER see HoF.

There are too many PO'd owners and coaching staffs. The league, whether they say it or not, is fuming mad at BB and ur owner Kraft.

Oh well, it will blow over; but sadly it tarnishes everything the Pats have accomplished as a team and as individual players.

You have BB to thank for that.

I can't believe some of the silly posts I'm reading. BB and TB will be in the HoF. Tom is a first-ballot HoFer no question.

I don't think anyone even in the crazy media is questioning whether those two guys get in.

If you are representative of the fan base in DC, it's no wonder Snyder has been able to bamboozle you for several years now.

Belichick and Brady are both slam dunk first ballot HOF inductees TODAY. With several years yet to go in their illustrious careers.

By the time they are inducted, sypgate will be a tiny footnote brought up only rarely by some media wack job media conspiracy theorist.

BB will never make HoF. He has been pegged as a cheater, and he will never recover his reputation around the league.

Sadly, the only folks who feel otherwise are you fans.

Yall should be pissed. He soiled all of you (BB). It's really a shame.

HE did this to YOU.... not just himself.

Well these "silly posts" are coming from a redskins fan who happens to be posting a few days before we play them. Of course they'd be silly!

I think it was quashed by the NFL because if the public became aware of all the "cheating" going on league wide it would turn people off to football and Commissioner Hammer would be forced to wipe out half the 2008 draft.

    People

Please describe cheating. It is a moralistic word. And because people keep using it, it adds connotations to the filming act that were not there.

All teams REPEAT ALL TEAMS try to steal signals. They ALL film the other bench - the only difference is that they do it from "acceptable" locations. Plus the signal information gained should be useless after halftime. (If the team changed wrist bands) And since the information was in the camera until halftime it should be "useless" for that game. (Which was the Patriots argument). Feeling is that BB used the film for measuring reaction time to Patriot formations.

The fines and penalties were not for "stealing" or "cheating" but for unauthorized location of a camera. It would be legal if it was in the stands or up in the coaches skyboxes.

What really bothers me is people who moralize it by calling it "cheating." That is gaining unfair advantage by subtrafuge. The information they were obtaining is open and in sight and gained by other means by ALL other teams.
Therefor no unfair advantage. Just a violation of where that information can be gained.

And for Moderators of a Pats fan site to pass on the word "cheating" and spygate (as in "spying" - how can you spy on the information in plain site?)
is in my opinion horrendous because by using those terms you are implicating more than is.

    BB is in the HOF
    Brady is in the HOF
Sorry to say Rodney is NOT - because that was cheating

At the outset some questioned whether this would keep Bill from being a first ballot selection. That was just typical spur of the moment media hysteria. Be kinda tough to justify a no vote on inducting a guy with a handful and potentially two hands full of championship rings.

Some of these 'Skins fans are truly delusional, which explains why Snyder hasn't been ridden out of DC on a rail.

Good points; however, BB will never make HoF because of the appearance of evil (whether right or wrong) and the take-a-ways and notes and attitudes the decision makers have already made.

He effed up and screwed himself out of Canton.

Yall have to understand that around the league people are PO'd. I know that here in your microcosm you want to circle the wagons. I understand that.

BB will never make HoF. TB will.

HAs to the question of how a 6th round pick could have become so good

Brady played and was good at Michigan - but the coach was an idiot. He insisted on Hensen.

As far as Brady learning the NFL - that was coincidence. The quaterbacks coach with the Patriots died and instead of hiring a new coach - BB took it over. He tried to teach the QB from the viewpoint of the Defense. (Since he is the best Defensive coach ever) Bledsoe couldn't get it - but the third string rookie did.
Brady is the only QB ever coached up by BB. He thinks like a middle linebacker while playing on the Offense. He knows what they are going to do before they do it because he sees every play from the other side of the line of scrimage. Like a mirror. Because he was coached to think DEFENSE.

    Brady? Jury still out?
What planet are you on? Name one other QB that won three (probably five or more by the time he's done) SBs that didn't make the HOF.

BB not make the HoF? Are you nuts? He's the greatest coach that ever coached. Better than Lombardi and the rest already. Stop feeding the drama.

    IT DOESN"T MATTER.

Whether it happened or not or maybe or woulda or shoulda or coulda.

Fact is simply this. Around the league BB has ruined his repute and tarnished the club / organization as a whole.

Believe it or not, I don't really care. I think its sad. He did this to all of yall, and you are here defending him. You remind me of a middle aged battered wife.
