How is that even close to Rush's statement? Carville made the statement "before" 9/11. Meaning, that the country had not been hit with terrorism, as opposed to I hope he fails "after" the country is staring down a depression.
Do you think the Republicans wanted Clinton to fail, even before he officially took office? Not that there's anything terribly wrong with that.

He said he hopes the President fails. It's EXACTLY the same.

The attacks on Rush are part of a Democratic strategy that's proving quite effective. Republicans had a different strategy. Their's was to turn 9/11 into an event that elevated Al Qaeda into a vastly more powerful entity than it really was at the time; build them up even further by launching an attack on Iraq based on lies. That strategy worked well for the Republicans, but the difference is it also cost over 4,000 American lives.

No it isn't. There was no crisis when Carville said it. Carville was wrong to say that, BTW.

Of course he was wrong and it is the same. You're either rooting for the country or you aren't. I don't root for my kids any different if they're doing well or not. If you rooted against Bush you rooted against the country and that is the same however well the country is doing.

None of that has anything to do with Carville rooting against the President (at the time) and the country.

Limbaugh f'd up in making that statement. These types of policies have NEVER helped the economy. The only question is how much these socialist policies will hurt the recovery of the economy.

Yeah, it has everything to do with it. The whole issue is political b.s. and always has been. Rush says hundreds of stupid things, but the Democrats have used some of their top guns to bring press attention to this particular one. It was a political calculation that so far appears to be working. Carville's comment was equally stupid and the Republicans could have gone after it, but they chose not to, probably because they had a different political strategy. The Democrats clearly want Rush to fill the political void in the Republican Party, which he seems more than willing to do. I doubt the Democrats were so divided that the Republicans could have pursued the same type of strategy with Carville.

The fact of the matter is (are) :

    1) Rooting against your country is rooting against your country. It's not some political calculation and neither should be the response.

    2) Rush has always been just a media guy. Carville sometimes is but sometimes he's actually in the inner workings of the Democrats. Carville saying it is a lot worse - it's like someone who works for the Patriots saying he is rooting against them vs. say Mike Reiss.

Carville is a professional hit man, he's a democrat Carl Rove & Dick Cheney all wrapped up into one.

Dick Cheney takes a lot of sh!t from the MSM imagine what they'd do to him if he looked like Carville...............:singing:

Mary Matlin makes Carville wear a mask in bed, he even scares the sh!t out of her, if they have kids I hope Carville never peeks in their crib in the middle of the night

    Carville Home 3:00 AM
    ding ding ding
    "Hello 911 whats the emergency"
"I think my child just had a heart attack"
"we're on our way, did anything happen"
    "yes"
    "what"
    "my husband looked at him"

I'm not disputing that Carville and Rush said stupid things, but you're being naive if you think that's the issue. The issue is how their comments are being exploited. The Democrats chose to exploit Rush's comments to help Rush fill the power vacuum in the Republican Party. The Republicans had a different strategy. Rush is as connected to the Republicans as Carville is to the Democrats. To think otherwise is naive. Besides in 2001, Carville was almost a decade removed from being an insider.

    You smokin' something illegal????

The ONLY thing these attacks on Rush are doing is mobilizing the right wing in America. Those looking for red meat need search no further. Chuck Norris is becoming better known by the minute, and gun sales are on the rise. This is doing more to coalesce the right than any number of pow-wows under Steele or Rush himself could EVER do.

If you want to polarize America more, keep bashing Rush. It's guaranteed to work.

While this makes great fodder for the message boards, and spurs partisan debate.. the reality is that most folks are really concerned about the economy and as the ass clowns of the right move to center stage it creates great diversion, most americans are worried about their jobs, retirement, 401K and the like..

    If only.

It is coalescing the right. That's what the Democrats want because the right represents only around 25% of the electorate. Moderates and moderate Republicans are turned off by Rush.

    Here's the difference BF....

Carville's comments weren't about anything specific. He didn't want Bush to succeed at what? There was nothing wrong with this country at the time. Limbaugh's comments DIRECTLY referred to the fact he doesn't want Obama to be successful in fixing the economy. People are suffering all over this nation and he doesn't want Obama to fix it. Now THAT borders on treasonous my friend.

    That's a HUGE difference!

The Obama Groupies (most democrats) want the whole country to bless themselves and then fall to their knees at the mere mention of the Messiah's name the fact that this isn't happening and the fact that there are actually people like Rush Limbaugh who have the freedom to publicly speak out against their Messiah is driving the Left Wing Democrats and the MSM insane.

    Talk Radio-Internet-
It is lands with dictators where the Government wants dissenters SILENCED, are we in the next four years headed for "Dictatorship" have we elected a "Socialist Dictator"

Little things like these ratings makes one wonder, how the hell did Barack Hussein Obama ever get elected?

I heard more than 1 sentence of the speech. He did talk about the policies being a disaster. However by putting it interms of obama failing rather than the fact the policies have no chance of suceeding he f'd up.

Just keep it up the attacks on Rush, and you will get the "revolution" you want so dearly. The outcome may not be what you expect, however.
