And than I started reading posts while waiting for my account to be approved and I just can NOT do it to you folks.

I have been on many teams MB's and I must say you folks are a class act, very little whinning about the loss, very little excususe, most give the Jints props. You have a collection of very knowledgable posters on this board and I look forward to being able to discuss FOOTBALL with you over the years.

I know this loss hurts and with it being close it is hard to rationally think about the season but the Pats accomplished what has only been done twice in NFL history and that is go undefeated in the regular season, I know that is no concelation but in the coming months I think you will see that accomplishment for what it is and it really is amazing

The modern NFL is all about parity and for the Pats to do what they have done over the past 7 years is amazing. ALL the cap rules etc are designed to avoid dynasties and to do what this organization has done is a dream 31 other teams would like to duplicate.

The beuty of sports is we can all say "see you next year"

P.S. don't let Charger fans get under your skin they are still mad they got stuck with Rivers and are mad at the world, heck if Norv was my coach I would be mad too.

OK, when does the bomb drop? Are you a Bills fan that's been looking to go on Pats boards and mess with them?

If you're sincere, and it sounds like it, thanks and congrats.

We usually do not trust other fans who are nice, so excuse our skepticism.. hopefully we prove them wrong.

If you were/are a fan of the Giants you'd be entitled to your time as they done us. What I dont get is fans from other teams having a laugh. It doesn't wind me up it's just strange. Arsenal (a soccer team here) went a whole season unbeaten and I dont seem to recall the masses willing them to lose week in week out. It feels like every team in the league had won the SB going off fan reaction to the Patriots loss.

New England Patriots are the elite team in this league and once this deserved win for the Giants dies down it will soon be back to buisness and the rest of the league will be back saying how scarily good this team is.

    :D
Yes I am a Giants fan and no I will not talk smack, it was too good of a game for that, besides as I stated you all seem to be class acts. Someone said in another thread that it is a symptom of our society and havin g the need to tear down others to build ourselves up. I agree with that, I of course rooted against the Pats as the Giants are my team but the outpouring of hate to the Pats stunned me. It seems success breads contempt and I really can not fathom that. We say, as Americans, we want to see people rise above adversity but the second they do someone wants to tear them down.
A 6th round draft choice 4th string QB making such a success of himself as Brady did seems the American dream yet all the hate directed at him is unwarrented, myself I blame the media when they get on someones jock they never let go and I think people eventually get sick of the man love.
Anyway as I said there are 31 teams in the NFL that wish they had such problems I am sure.
Good luck next year (well not too much luck mind you I would love to repeat). Just keep beating the Jets so I can continue to drive my brother in law up the wall:D

I can go with that. Baffled me some things from fans and the media but we aint crying over it. Really :D You can't demand respect but you can earn it and although we did lose the thing that mattered most I really think we done alot of good things that warranted a little more respect, regardless of what happened.

Good luck to you guys too. I secretly look out to see how Osi is doing, don't tell anyone on here though. Although he walks and talks American his life begun here and it's cool he's become as good and as succesfull as he has. Apparantly us Brits are "his people" so we've got to show some love :D You guys will certainly go in to next season sky high and so you should. Obviously hoping Strahan doesn't decide to bow out just yet. Congrats on the win, fully deserved.

I think we'll continue to build as every team does. My comment before about the pats being the elite team could be considered too ****y or whatever but it's something I still believe and totaly confident we'll be back amongst it next season. A few things will need addressing and it'll be interesting to see what happens with those.

Well actually there are a LOT of us,you just need to look. Believe me all the Giants fans I know never said the Pats suck, we knew what we where up against and NO ONE took it lightly. Just like I had a hard time finding good Pats fans untill I came here (See my other Bro in law and my Sister live in RI, he was born and raised as he calls it a "Swamp Yankee") and they rode me SO hard the week before, I just kept saying "Hey the Giants play football too you know"
She called before the game and gave me a hard time because I would not bet ( I neve bet the Jints the second I do they lose), She called at halftime to give us grief, at the end of the game I found it funny her cell phone was off:rolleyes:

IDK about the rest of you but I am going through withdrawl today!

I too came here to rub it in a little. I am a 49ers fan (read my name backwards) and about mid season some (alleged) Pats fan started a post on our message board about how the Pats were going to go undefeated and the Niners never did that and so on.

Whoever that person is, if you read this, you know what I was going to say. To everyone else, while I don't root for your team (You won't find a Niner fan who wants Brady to get his fourth ring) I look forward to talking some football.

    Thank you,
    Anatnom.
