To think that Belichick will use both first rounders is an inane thought ... it's not happening. Trading a pick to next year will almost always guarantee value if you plan on having one of the best records and drafting later in round one very year. That being said and what appears to be a very stocked this this year I present the question. Belichick could trade into the the lower first round by using both 2nd round picks. He could then select 2 first round players and trade pick #31 for a 2nd this year and a first next year. It is very conceivable that he could pull this off and get 3 picks in the top 45 or so rather than 3 picks that would be 27 - 48 and 62 and still have the two first rounders again next year. Thoughts?
