    It's a fact.

Just so everyone knows it. It's the truth.

Wouldn't want these hallowed pages to be monopolized with only ONE viewpoint, especially one that's wrong, now would we.

Lol, that would be like Clinton saying "but there were hundreds of interns I didn't get a bj from!"

Only 25% of Americans in 1776 actively supported the Revolutionary War against Britain. It does not require a majority, just a dedicated few. "A few good men" isn't just for the Marines.

Show me where you got that. Are you saying 75% opposed the war, or just didn't support it "actively" enough for your taste? I smell BS.

Most sat on the fence. "Didn't want to take a position." It's the norm. Look around. How much of the population in the U.S. votes? About 40%, sometimes less. That's about 20% for each side.

But if you still smell BS, you should check your own feet and think where you've been walking.

Until you can show something backing up your "25%" claim, it's BS. It's a number you made up off the top of your head.

And sitting on the fence doesn't mean they opposed the war. Even people who don't vote usually have an opinion when asked. I'd bet there was decent consensus for revolting against England.

Believe what you want, Pujo. I officially don't give a sweet sh!t what you believe. You only like what you like. Period. Anybody who does any research can easily see what I said is true.

Hundreds of Bush aides still believe in him, and MILLIONS of Americans still believe in him. You don't like that. Too bad.

Lol, so you made up a statistic, but want to frame the problem in terms of my closed mindedness? I've said it to you before privately: you're an outright liar. I can go talk to any bum at Downtown Crossing and have the same expectation of truth that I do with you, and I'm sure he'll also tell me all about the American Revolution.

I believe it was the Zogby/Revere poll.

1 if you want a revolution
2 if you want taxes without representation

So hundreds of presidential employees still support the Shrub huh?

Well lets see, the info I can find shows that there's around 3500 full-time employees in the White House plus another 3000 or so who work/volunteer part time. Then you've got the Pentagon and all the Cabinet offices, FBI, CIA, the Secret Service, IRS etc...

That's got to be in excess of 50k and hundreds still support him? That's like filling up the Razor, pointing at section 306 and saying 'all the people in rows d through m still support the team.' It wasn't even that bad under Rod Rust.

Big difference between presidential "aides" and WH staffers. The 3500 you refer to are almost all civil servants. We're talking about "aides" here, NOT c.s.'s.

So you admit that none of those people like him either?

Another thing you throw out there and hope it sticks, does hundreds mean 200, 500 or 2000... I would hope at least 200 support him, there are a lot of loyalists in the executive branch.. they are there because of political favors and like their jobs, being prepared for the private sector. I would anticipate that there are probably couple of hundred thousand support him in the executive branch of the government.

I started this thread in response to the ludicrous notion that one disaffected staffer deserved having any mention (as mentioned in another thread on Bush bashing). You're probably 100% correct that hundreds of thousands in the executive branch support him, out of either duty or loyalty or both.
