Huckabee: Iraq’s WMD Were Hidden Like ‘Easter Eggs’ And Then Moved To Jordan

During the Republican presidential debate last night, Mike Huckabee suggested that Iraq did have weapons of mass destruction, but that they were moved prior to the war. In making this observation, Huckabee compared Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction to an Easter egg hunt:

Everybody can look back and say, oh well we didn’t find the weapons. Doesn’t meet that they weren’t there. Just because you didn’t find every Easter egg didn’t mean it wasn’t planted.
Chris Matthews pressed Huckabee on this point in an interview after the debate. “Do you believe there are WMD in Iraq that hasn’t been found that would have justified the war had we discovered it?” he asked. Huckabee offered this response:

I think it’s more likely that that weapons of mass destruction that we know that he at one time had, he used weapons against the Kurds, good chance they may have gone to Jordan. We don’t know where they are.

"We don't know..." .... I guess that's Huckabee's free pass to pontificate first, as if his theory is fact, then fall back on "we don't know"... Whether it's a 6,000 year old planet, or cover for the greatest lie of the last 40 years...

"We don't know... so it's entirely possible that... ."

oh, gotcha, Mike... maybe God told you it was Jordan... you know, now that the Syria claims have gone swirling down the toilet...

This is exactly what we need. A fresh new voice in the White House saying that Bush was right all along.........Dems could only be so lucky as to have this yahoo win the nomination.

I did a double take when he said that. The guy is really fun to listen to, as he is charismatic, but man is he way out there sometimes. He has no chance so don't get too excited. I will say though, I am very interested in his fair tax.

Hey come on, cut the guy some slack, at least he's got a great recipe for cooking squirrel. (and I wish I was joking about that) He gets the nomination and there's officially ZERO percent chance Hillary or Obama loses. Dems ought to be donating early and often to his campaign.

"we don't KNOW that George Bush wasn't a coke head... so it's entirely POSSIBLE that he sold crack"....

"It's entirely possible that anti-gay gay Senator Trent Lott had relations with a high-priced male escort..... we just don't KNOW."

this man actually won a state... what a collection of genius GOP voters in Iowa, huh?

Well, with all due respect to those people there, Huckabee was a no name who nobody really researched because he was thought to have no shot, and the pub field is less than desirable. You can see what's happened since he won though. With the lead comes the microscope.

I was listening to some real bluegrass today, complete with warbly singing and strumming banjoes. I thought to myself, "this must be what a Huckabee fund raiser sounds like."

The more I hear of/from that guy, the more I dislike.
