So this article says John McCain was one of a very few who wanted to address the causes of this problem years ago?!!

Why, that makes HIM the Messiah!!

But wait a minute: the dominant media culture has been saying for the past two years that... that .... Barack Hussein is "The New Messiah"!! Chris Matthews' leg has an orgasm every time Barry speaks, and everyone knows CM's leg is more accurate than Aunt Mary's knee predicting the next thunderstorm ...

Laugh at the other not the facts. Typical. Throw in some name calling and it's perfect for you and other Liberals.

None of that changes the facts!

What in the article is wrong????

Dodd, Obama, and Hillary received the most money from Fannie Mae

McCain sponcered legislation that would have avoided this mess.

The Democrats voted to kill it in Committee on a straight party line vote.

EVERYONE will accept that the government forcing Fannie/Freddie to give out subprime mortgages to poor people in bad neighborhoods is the base of this current fianancial crisis. The banks then bought these loans and now everyone is screwed.

Who made the decision to up the amount of bad loans?

Clinton's HUD Chariman Cuomo Jr (the same idoit that McCain wants to make the head of the SEC, I can't believe this is the guy I have to vote for)

Who said this was a bad idea?

    Greenspan.

Who killed the legislation designed to fix it?

THE DEMOCRATS (with their pockets overfilled with Fannie/Freddie donations)

So the author has no bias?? The Republicans and the executive office have no share of the blame??

Blame all you want a party or group of people but there is a whole lot to spread around.. to say the dems did it or the republicans did it is flat out stupid.. to even say GWB did it is stupid.. here is a dumbass left wing commentary..

MotherJones Blog: McCain Blasts Wall Street Failure, Neglects To Mention His Adviser Helped Cause It

The reality is that you can google democrats caused financial problems and come up with a bunch of stuff mostly biased, and you can do the same for republicans..

To post something from an economic advisor of McCain and say it is gospel, is a flat out dumbass thing to do.. what do you expect him to say, McCain did it..

There is plenty of blame to go around, and the bottom line is greed.. it will take a serious bipartisan effort to make things different..

We need to grow up on this useless topic. Seriously, who gives a flying farck who's fault it is? We could go back and forth for days on idiotic policy started by both parties.

Neither side has the market on stupidity cornered.

as a matter of fact, this is the perfect time for people like us to find some common ground because it may surprise you to find there is probably more now than there has been in long, long time.

The only dumbass in this discussion would be the one who tries to call out others for not knowing Bob Dylan lyrics ... and that dumbass would be YOU, GJAJ15 dumbass.

Why don't you do yourself a favor, phony-ass poser, and take a vacation from this website. You have exposed yourself for what you really are, what I have known all along: a bigoted, hateful, small-minded phony.

    Get lost.

The Dems have been saying they have the corner on the economy, have been saying that the economy is McCain's-Palin's "weak" suit. Now we come to find out that it was McCain who wanted to reform the fast-and-loose financial market policies, and it was the Dems, including Biden, Obama, who were WRONG by scuttling this reform. The Dem hypocrisy is palpable.

The Dems have made "the economy" an issue, so this Wall Street Meltdown is fair game.

Let it all come out. ALL of it.

Hey pastor , how much did you pay this guy?
(Kevin Hassett, director of economic-policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute, is a Bloomberg News columnist. He is an adviser to Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona in the 2008 presidential election. The opinions expressed are his own.)

You are one sick, lying f*ck. You are Satan incarnate. But don't worry, when you finally dissolve into nothingness, nobody will ever remember you were here.

Life indeed goes on. The dead disappear forever.
