The Patriots list him at 6'-1" 245 lbs but he seems taller than that to me. Interestingly, Florida carried him as 6-2, and the combine reported him as 6'-2.3":

Doubt he got shorter when he joined the Pats. Indeed, as the youngest player in the NFL this year, he could still grow taller before he's done.

    Who knows!

Edelman had different heights listed, and I'm sure I have seen different heights for Woody!

The Combine height will be the official one.

He is taller than Danny Woodhead.

Folks do realize that people's height changes during the course of the day. You are taller in the morning than in the evening. So there is no one height and variances of an inch or so can just be because of the the time of day he was measured.

Also when the combine measured him I am sure he did his utmost to make sure he was standing as tall as possible cause he wanted to get drafted higher. Once drafted he probably didn't care as much.

He must be pretty damn tall if he replaced Moss as the deep safety on Hail Mary plays!

Hernandez is young, 20, he's still growing. He will fill out into a 6-8 tight end by the time he's all done.

Then Danny Woodhead listed at 5'9" must shrink 3 inches during the day.

Danny was wearing platform shoes at the time.

    Typical cheating Patriot.

  11. Does it matter? The kid's a beast.

But if it really matters to you, he's between 6-1 and 6-2.

The NFL doesnt underlist guys by a whole inch and over. If they do they might list a guy measured at 6-1 1/2 at 6-1.
Hernandez's measurements from the combine and pro day must be typos. Hes around 6-1-6-1 1/2.

At most people shrink 1/4-1/2 inch from out of bed to night time. Some dont shrink at all really.

NFL players are measured in the morning. They always tell them to stand as tall as you can.

Woodhead was measured at 5-7. A 2 inch upgrade for him. Overall though NFL is the most accurate with heights. NBA is pretty bad and MLB baseball is the worst with fudging heights.

He was listed at 6-2 at Florida, and NFL Draft Scout actually listed him at 6-3. The combine had the most precision (6'2.3") , which sometimes indicates accuracy.

The reason I brought this up is as part of understanding how much of a TE vs WR Hernandez is. 6-1 is short for a TE, and looking at Hernandez on the field I'd guess him to be 6-2 or better.

It would be just like Belichick to have some sort of competitive reasons to have a policy of misreporting player vital statistics; but for the life of me I'm not sure why they might decide to report (say) Woodhead as 5-9 when he's lucky to be 5-7...

Woodhead is 5'7 3/4". The extra 3/4" is key. :D

That said, I'm not convinced that GRONK is "only" 6'6".

I still love that David Ortiz is listed as 6'1, 220.

Hrm, looks like they changed his page since the last time there. He's now listed at 6'4, 230.

I still think hes 250 or so.

Gotta love this board--a question about how tall a guy is generates 20 responses.
