How much more heartbreak can we patriot fans take?

If going 13-3, watching the Jets miss the playoffs, crushing the over-hyped Broncos, being a handed bouquet by Billy Cundiff and the Ravens, coming within a catch of winning Super Bowl 46, and heading into the off-season loaded for next year was heartbreak, I say we can take a lot more of that!

Great season, great ride, great fun on this message board all year long.

These are the golden years of New England Patriots football. Enjoy 'em to the fullest but try not to ever take this run for granted. The NFL is built to break up the good teams and redistribute the talent every year.

Fortunately, the Krafts have a program in place to sustain competitiveness, so there's a chance to replicate the Steelers' and Giants' consistency on the positive side of the ledger. Big, big decisions loom about the leadership of the team on and off the field as the architects of this run reach the end of their careers.

2011-12 did not end in, nor even approach, heartbreak.

Go aks a Bills fan. Four straight Super Bowl losses in the early 90s. That's heartbreaking...
