I am worried that Moss grows tired of the current state of affairs and reverts into that Moss everyone said he would.

Is that the biggest problem the pats have to worry about?

Plus, I don't see it happening.

I saw him pick up Cassel in the fourth quarter after Cassel got hit and even gave him a pat on the butt.

Moss has been FINE considering how bad Cassel has been so far. If we drop below .500 with Cassel at QB though, we might see something.

u just need to see him run hard with 38secs left in the game today , he is doing all he can except cover vincent jackson.

I think he'll be OK knowing Brady will be back next year. If, heaven forbid, Brady had a career ender and this quality of QBing was Moss' present and future then I think he could just quit.

Moss knew his stats would suck shortly after 6 minutes into game one so its not like he was not prepared to be non existent this season for most of the time - He knew with Cassel his stats and importance to the team would suck as bad as Cassel.

Next year is a fresh return to the Moss of old hopefully

Hope he does soon, so he can get benched and not get injured before the real team plays next year.

Whats the over under? I give him two more games with Cassel :p

    Sorta kidding...

It might be that he might suck it up and gives his efforts because he knows Brady will be back next year...

Moss' issue isn't mental - it's physical. He's not making routine catches let alone difficult circus catches. He is a shadow of the 2007 version, has been since last December. He's not getting much seperation, he looks stiff and he's dropping catachable balls left and right. The two early throws to him were catachable let alone for a $9M #1 pro bowl WR. He's just not making plays.

Randy isn't getting it done, MoLewis? I hope we've been watching the same games.

Moss can get separation. If the quarterback doesn't lead him into the pass, it doesn't mean he can't get downfield. I haven't noticed anything different from him this year compared to last, besides the fact that a lot of the throws downfield are not on the mark.

As for 'Randy of old'....I've watched Randy Moss play for years. He wasn't on pace with Jerry Rice during his tenure in Minnesota by dogging it and not playing to his ability. Heck, he had a good year in Oakland in his first year despite getting injured.

Randy's 'attitude' is something the media has made into a monster because he didn't trust or want to talk to them. They make a mountain out of a molehill. They still think his I play comment means that he literally didn't play when he felt like it throughout his career. There's a reason he rarely talks to them.

Randy isn't and won't be a problem with this team. He became part of a problem in the worst run team in sports. Frankly, I don't blame him after hearing how horrible that atmosphere seemed to be, judging by the stories former players have told in recent weeks, and from what we know about Al Davis.

I think I figured it out....MoLewisRocks = Tom Walsh? Don't you have a bed and breakfast to run in the morning?

Give it up MoLewis you have tried to make your point in about 5 different threads. Swing and a miss. Take your bat and take a seat on the bench. Your wrong its like 20 against 1 your points are absolutely ridiculous. I probably shouldnt even be giving you the dignity of writing a response... as they say.... feeding the trolls. If you dont like Moss go cheer for Coles or another reciever just stop trying ti make it look like hes an issue when hes one of the bright spots being under utilized

If you watched the replays, specifically on the first quarter play, Moss had TONS of separation after beating the jam...but a crappy throw by Cassel forced him to slow down, allowing the DB to catch up.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your argument...

i dont think it will happen this year i think he will tough it out with the plan of having brady back next season.

I don't think it will happen. Near the end of the game you saw him smiling on the sidelines. I think he understands there are special circumstances this year.

    Moss will be OK.

He'll have Tom Brady back next year, and his time will come again.

If there was no hope for the future, like there was in Oakland, it would definitely be a different story.

He has Belichick. He has Pioli. And he'll have Tom Brady next year.

Heh-we have these discussions all the time with TO on our boards.

Really-the NFL season is a marathon, NOT a 50 yard sprint. It's only week 6, and the season isn't 1/2 over.

Keep your heads up-the Pats are still a good and disciplined team, and Moss is doing just fine. In the end, you guys will probably win the AFCE.

In which case the receiver is supposed to adjust to the throw use his body to box out the defender like the guys who actually played the game were discussing on the postgame... Apparently this will come as a shock to some of you gridiron neophytes but receivers make plays all the time under less than ideal circumstances. One of the reasons for getting Moss was because our's routinely couldn't in 2005 and 2006 while say for example Peyton Manning's could... Moss isn't fighting for the ball and making plays when they are there to be made. He's even struggling to hold on to routine catches. And that is exactly the situation a team starting a backup to a HOF QB can't win with. And teams have gone to single coverage as a result.
