The players absolutely LOVE this week once a year during the season but its PAINFULLY hard to accept a whole weekend not planning on watching the guys on sunday (or monday when scheduled)
I know I will probably just head out to a casino or find something to do rather than sit home and watch these stupid Eagles or Steelers play which is what we usually HAVE to watch here - Its very hard especially when you are a fan who has a good team and is off to a good start to the season and must wait 13 days till the next one - I can't imagine what a pregnant woman goes thru having to wait 9 months!!
Oh Well,As Bill says 'It Is What It Is' - Whats your plans this weekend?,I am sure some of the guys on here are already studying potential game plans on both sides for the Buffalo game

Yeah thank goodness for the Sports Bar and the NfL package or I would be on the golf course Saturday and Sunday but I will find a couple of good games to watch this weekend there because on regular TV I usually get the Cowboys here and I sure don't want to watch them and the Texans.

There's still plenty of football to be watched.

I'll play close attention the Bills and other teams the Pats are going to be playing this season. Also the Jets vs. Miami because it's a division game. I know they are not two very good teams but it is relevant.

    #12 Jersey

Someone has given me tickets AND a parking pass to the Redskins-Titans barnburner on Sunday. I figure, what the heck.

pick a team you hate or a player you hate and hope they lose and/or play badly.

In my case that would be the Chicago Bears.
I also will following Lord Favre and hoping he gets closer to the INT Record than the TD record. It's funny how the announcers never mention that one.

The Daily Herald today had a 16-0 article on the front page of the sports section.

I tried to explain to my friend that the Colts do what the Bears are doing now, EVERY YEAR and choke come playoff time but they think it is different b/c their margin of victory is larger. It just does not matter how much you win by.

I had no idea they handed out trophies after teams go 5-0. Living in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, I would think they already changed the rules and awarded them the Lombardi.

    Yes, it is that bad.

If you are talking about that Viagra commercial where that guy is watching a game and his good looking wife (girlfriend, mistress,or hillbilly sister, whatever) is giving him 'the eye',then he puts the game on record and decides what is more important - Is that you NEM or would you just continue watching the game? Sometimes an ugly wife could come in handy, that way she waits and you finish the game -LOL

I can also always tune in to see Miami beat the Jets.

Not neccessarily - Look at Maroney and Bush - Who went higher? - Who has better stats so far? - other than pure speculation the first round is a crapshoot from #1 to #32,It won't matter where Seattle ends up-we will get a quality player as BB and Pioli almost always find in the 1st round.

Going to college game too. PSU/Michigan on Sat. night. Crowd is going
to be raucous. Really agitated by losing 7 straight to Michigan,
and a couple on so-so calls. Michigan has the better team. But, Manningham
is hurt and it's going to be wild. I smell an upset. I'll say PSU 16-13.
HS football friday night too. I love the fall. Get the full trifecta.
HS on Friday,College on Sat, sit-back with NFL ticket and Pats
on Sunday. I guess I could do some yardwork this Sunday.

My bye weeks are bore-fests. Basically they give some time to mend fences with the Mrs. by catching up on all of the yardwork and projects around the house that get neglected this time of year.

If/when I'm around a tv I will be watching whatever game happens to be on. I'll probably listen to some games on the radio too while I'mn working.

Bye weeks suck but I just try to keep myself occupied and not think too much about it.

Well, living in the DC area, I can cheer on the Titans to upset the Redskins and I know this demonstrates the poverty of my existence but I would actually be interested in watching the Bills play the Lions and the Jets/Fins game. I know, I'm embarrassed.

Just noticed the CTPstsFan mentioned mending fences with the wife. NO, DON"T DO IT. If you have them properly trained, don't let up for a second, football is important in its own right, its just more important when the Pats play. Be Strong, Be Firm, Assert yourself on this particularly difficult weekend.

I'll be pounding down $6 Superdome beers while watching Donovan "carrying my fantasy team" McNabb and the Eagles play the Saints.

With NFL Sunday Ticket and a lighter wallet I'll be flipping channels monitoring the AFCE and upcoming Pats opponents - and probably jeering Rothlesberger and Favre and definitely the Seahawks for that higher pick.

If all else fails, I'll monitor the Keegs/Digger44 fights for creative writing ideas.

Oh, and the aliens might stop by.
