Oddly enough, he was shifted inside to Tackle mid-way through the 2007 season and earned All Conference Honorable Mention. He reportedly was double and triple-teamed a lot in 2008, and still led the NCAA with 22 TFL. He may or may not have the strength right now to stand-off a double-team as a 3-4 DE, but that's why NE prefers to platoon the kids with a vet for a season before throwing them in the deep end.My concerns are based purely on-the-field. He seems to be light and high-cut, and I think any good OT is going to own him in the run game. I don't see how he fits as a DE in the New England 3-4. I don't think he can control one gap, let alone 2 when he needs to.
