what is belichick trying to prove? that he can coach the offense, defense and special teams by himself? that he doesn't need a good assistant like Romeo or Charlie and just wants yes men? Or is Kraft too cheap to pay good assistants. I have no idea what is going on with this team.

FWIW, BB hired a fairly well-respected ST coach in Scott O'Brien last year.
