Disregarding the fact that you are a New England resident, honestly what do you think is a better chowder?

    #18 Jersey

I'm a New York (state) resident... and I say New England. Thick, creamy... not that tomato-y, liquid, red stuff. Yuck.

Is this thread serious? NE chowder / seafood is far superior to that of New York. That's not even getting in to the hundreds of miles of pristine coast.

I have lived in NYC. Once you get over the fact you can go out at 4am its highly overrated and pretty dirty.

It's not even close, New England by far. Now, Rhode Island vs. New England is a lot tougher. For me it pretty much just depends on what mood I'm in.

That's not to say that I don't like Manhattan chowder, it has its time and place. It's great for dipping grilled cheese in. But there's no comparison with N.E. chowda!

Actually, this is a post satirizing the one titled "Honestly, what's better: Pats or Colts" in which the poster asks us to put aside our favoritism and say who we actually think is better...

That's like asking a dog not to bark.

    little known fact

the bulk of the clams used in New England clam chowder come from the Chesapeake Bay

consequently, the bulk of ALL mussels used along the eastern seaboard are from Maine

if you like watery tomato crap, then go with the manhattan, however NOTHING beats a creamy new england clam chowda!! Probably the thing i miss most since moving to the desert.
