At your age, isn't that fairly common?

This is what they call a "trial balloon", make a suggestion to the media and see the reaction.. if this is done, it will be same old, same old for the next 4 years.. might be good for the Dem party, but sucks for the country.

I think she's a lying douche, but involving her in some capacity would be a good move. There is a large chunk of people at home, and abroad, who respect her. She'd certainly be a better choice than John Kerry.

Personally I would rather see her as sec of HHS. Her passion is health care not foreign policy.

What do we Really Know about Hillary Clinton?

She has associated closely with a known adulterer. Is this the type of morality that we want representing America abroad?

Hillary. Too Risky. Out Of Touch with Real America.

If it will get her out of the country I'm all for it, Jesus will those Clintons ever go away, Kerry should be appointed "Secretary Of The White House Laundry Room"

Kerry was the reason we had Bush for four more years, Gore was the reason we had Bush in the first place.

    Say "Merry Christmas"

A difficult time for anyone to get involved in the new president's cabinet. We're on the brink of disaster where only the truly brave will join.

If her ultimate desire is to be president, the decision ( if offered) will come down to " what will get me there?" If as you postulate, the sh*t is about to hit the fan, the Senate is a better place to be, away from the mess. Then she could ala Ted Kennedy challenge in 4 years, though it's unlikely. Or, if she is Sec. of State and VP-elect Biden decides he doesn't want ( for health or other reasons like Pres-elect Obama wants to wire his jaw shut) to serve a second term, she could be the VP nominee in '12 and the presumed frontrunner in '16 as a spry 68 year old...
I think she takes it if offered.........

Seen a lot of arguments on both sides, do not think she is a good choice and do not see her as a good fit in this role..

I think Clinton would be an excellent choice. For one, she knows many of the world leaders. For another, she would command great respect because she's recognized as one of the leaders in the United States in her own right. Yet another, her husband has a wealth of contacts and had great success in foreign policy, and no doubt he could give her a lot of good advice. Lastly, she's one of the smartest political leaders in our country, so she would provide Obama with competent advice. Also, appointing her would help Obama amass additional political capital to aid him on the Hill.

This would be the worst choice imagineable. Mr. "change" and "I opposed the Iraq war" is going to put someone who supported it and is as hawkish as some neo-cons in charge of foreign policy? Um, no thanks.

If she accepts the position, she follows his instructions, not the other way around. Not only that, while she supported the war initially, her position evolved to be the same as Obama's.
