When you see the Republican convention on tv and notice how alike everyone looks then maybe you will understand.

Very nicely put Patters. That is the exact feeling I get when I watch the republican convention! Everyone always looks so business-like, white and male. Much more uptight group, but hey, some are more comfortable conforming to some ridiculous norms.

Now, if I saw a party with all different kinds of people having fun vs. another party with a bunch of people in suits and not looking so different, why would I want to go to that boring, uptight party? c'mon now

oh, and Pony? THAT was his point. capiche now?

Watch the Republican convention and you'll figure out what it takes to be a successful Party member. I don't want to spoil your fun.

When I watch the DNC, and the pundits are not yakking, I understand why it is so difficult to get thing done and on focus.. they are more of a federation of many people, with many interests trying to get to a single focus... it is difficult.. I also realize this is why I favor this party, because it is made up with a bunch of different people who seem to be the cross section of middle america.. there are something like 44% minority if you include Indians..

FBN, you REALLY need to get a clue. My message which wasn't subliminal at all, is

    ALL THE SAME = BAD

whether its all white, all black, all christian, all female or male...got it now?

I have to say, you seem angry from watching the DNC. Which is not characteristic of you. I watched most of it and I know there was nothing to get anyone angry about. So what's up with you?

Relax, this isn't life or death. It's politics

Yeah I get it. Like Obama's church? Like the Boston Celtics? Rather simple quota system in those organizations, right? ALL THE SAME=BAD, right? Not subliminal at all I agree. It's as blatantly a racist comment as Obama's dollar bill remark. It's not life or death but it's offensive. Now I know this is going to sound whiney but humor me for a minute. The "w" word is fast becoming a racially charged word for crying out loud. You know I can kinda see Whoopi's point about taking back the "n" word. White republicans are getting similar treatment. The word "white" is used to portray them as some kind of racist, greedy war loving and selfish breed of human. So white republicans should take the "w" word back and democrats may not use it any more. Saw that on The View:cool:

I'll ask you took take a deep breath and as you breath out, let go of all you believe in and read with an open mind. Ok, here goes...

There is nothing wrong with white, so I don't know what you're talking about since I'm white also. But there is something wrong with a party that only attracts a certain type of indiviual. Watch the RNC and you'll see what I mean.

Now, for you to compare the Celtics or a church to a political party is blantantly foolish. For they can't be compared....take another deep breath and keep that mind open...Our government is and MUST fairly represent all people in this nation. A basketball or church has no such obligation. Walk into a catholic church in Southie and tell me what you see..and that's ok for a church. The fact that you even brought up the Celtics where race is totally and absolutely irrelevant says a lot about your attitudes.

There is nothing wrong with White as long as one doesn't always want to be with the white crowd, vote with the white crowd, work with the white crowd or stay in power with the white crowd. Personally, I could care less if this nation became 75% minority over the next 5 years. Why? Because race means nothing...it never has and never will.
