Not enough credit is being given to AH for that winning touchdown. Of course it was a great throw by Brady but AH put his shoulder into the defender to block him out from breaking up that pass. In short, that was an amazing throw and an amazing catch.

Is there a credit-meter hooked up somewhere that shows who is getting the right amounts of credit?

Touchdowns don't just score themselves. I think it's clear to everyone who saw the game the impact Hernandez, Brady, Waters, Light, Mankins, Gronkowski, Welker, Woodhead, Green-Ellis, etc. had. The offense is becoming whole, and greater than the sum of its parts.

Yikes : this message has lots of "going on".

Back to the original thought. AH is fast becoming a star. People who follow the team know it, opponents know it, but I think the national media will soon be talking him up as well. He is the reason Ocho can ride the bench and it doesn't matter to the offense.

Great catch amd a gutsy throw into a small window.

However the superior tight end Gronk drawing double coverage was a major assist on the play.

They had 8 guys covering 5 guys. Whoever wasn't getting the double team would've gotten the ball.

First time I saw Hernandez run a pattern I knew. He just has the speed and physicality that destroys matchups. Just carry that ball everywhere and get secure, that's his only flaw. Plus i notice he gets a little up and down emotionally, but the guys got perennial All Pro talent.

The ball security concerns me a lot, but if he can correct that(and he should be able to), he'll be incredible. He'll never be a great blocking TE but that's okay, he has the potential to be our Witten/Clark/Gates.

He gets paid to make that catch, he better darn well make that catch. I don't see why he should be getting any extra amount of attention for it. If anything, he made up for the fumble he had earlier in the game down in the RZ. And I'm still flustered over that dropped TD against the Jets. AH still owes us a TD in my opinion:D

Gronk was doubled , Wes and Branch had 4 guys on them so Hernandaz was the one on single coverage.

Next year we have to see how it works when wes leaves and we use price or edelman in there. then the obviously they will be in man and hernandaz will be doubled.

If he's Witten, then who is GRONK's equivalent?

Before the 2010 draft, National Football Post had Hernandez ranked as the top TE, ahead of Gronk (2) and Gresham (3). Pretty awesome the Pats got the top 2 when they fell because of question marks, and they're both working out. (Easy to forget Gronk was a HUGE question mark because of his back injury.)

There is no equivalent to Gronk. The guy is a beast and could be the standard for all others to compare to in the future. :)

Biggest thing that surprised me about Hernandez is he did 30 reps of 225 compared to Gronk's 23. Just lookign at the 2 of them you'd think Gronk would be much stronger.

Last time I didn't see Brady run the route and get open in the end zone. In a completion it takes at least two players to make it happen - the QB and the receiver. Hernandez deserves a lot of credit for the catch. So does Brady. So does the o-line.
