Whether he zigs, zags, rams it up the gut, or is tackled in the backfield...

...he does NOT fumble. :D

Yep. Only one fumble so far in his career.

he ALWAYS goes up the middle.... he never runs to the outside

Right on.. he holds onto that rock

And everytime he runs other than when he gets gang tackled behind the line, he falls forward.

Maroney has arrived. He is hitting the holes like Morris did. He is not fumbling, he is fighting for yards when there is none. Over the last half of this season, IMO Maroney is making serious progress.

Knocking on wood here, too. People insist on jinxing ****.

One thought about the running game -- yes, the Pats are facing defenses that play pass. But they're also facing them out of the shotgun.

The shotgun isn't exactly a great running formation.

He did a dance move or two last night but not many.

What I'm impressed by is that he is now reliable at the goal line. To me, that is huge.

- YPC: check
- Protect the ball: check
- "Nose for the goal line/1st down marker": check

Well, at least definitely getting there, on the third count. A few games against opponents other than the Ravens and Steelers put him in a whole different light.
