Since Patters is in the mood of once again bashing the US and its policies, lets just all lay our cards on the proverbial table.

    and look at yours...

this poll is beyond inadequate, and typical of right wing black-or-white, "with us or with the terrorists" pablum......

the U.S. is neither the cause of all the world's ills, nor is it "A-O.K."

Here's the problem, Turd. I voted that we're OK because I think we're more good than bad, but it doesn't mean we're 100% good or 100% bad. We don't need to stop sucking, we need to suck less.

As Ive said, these republicans love their government like a baby loves his mommy. Mommy can do no wrong. Most others love their government like a mommy loves her child, setting him straight when he makes mistakes.

Me, I love my country and more often than not, have serious concerns about my government that Im not afraid to express.

You gotta be kidding. We are the best country in the entire world, reguardless of our government right now.

We're definately one of the better countries, but comments like "we're the best" are naive. That's like saying there's a best food, or a best song... some of it is subjective. Australia, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Holland, Belgium, & England all probably think they're the best, too, and while none of them are perfect either, neither are we.

Italian food is awesome, though I'm not a big fan of tomato sauces (I like all the cream sauces they use). Jewish cuisine is awesome, so is German (ever have schnitzel, or real bavarian brats?), and of course French food (and related Belgian cuisine) is unbelievable. US southern cooking also rocks... mmm, everything deep fried.

Definitly. I am a big time eater, I love all sorts of cuisines. My girlfriend is jewish, so I get lot's of jewish foods from her family.

German food is not so bad when it is home made, otherwise the flavors seem to be to strong. French and BElgian food are both amazing as well.

US Southern is definitly a plus, corn fritters are my favorite.

My wife & her family are Jewish and I like to joke with them that the words "Jewish Cuisine" are an oxymoron.

Italian food, Chinese food and good old fashioned "American" food are the best.

So how do you like your fritters? Regular, creamy, or al dente? ;)

Turd that reminds of the movie When Harry Met Sally, one of my personal favs. Anyone seen that? It reminds of the part where Harry says this:

Harry: We're talking dream dates compared to my horror. It started out fine, she's a very nice person, and we're sitting and we're talking at this Ethiopian restaurant that she wanted to go to. And I was making jokes, you know like, "Hey I didn't know that they had food in Ethiopia? This will be a quick meal. I'll order two empty plates and we can leave."

    [Sally laughs]
