I read the article below this am.
Andrew Walter provides little confidence - BostonHerald.com
Clearly BB wants to add some veteran competition to the Qb mix. Sounds good to me.
This comment by Karen G. stuck out.
"Judging by what’s gone on at practice, it looks very much like O’Connell needed to have a fire lit under him. Maybe he was getting a little too complacent with his role and they want him to have to earn the job."
Has anyone seen O'Connell acting/performing in a way that would lend to the notion that he is not cut out for this program? I wish she would have provided some examples that would back her assessment. I have not been to TC yet (going Friday) so I personally cannot comment on what the basis may be for her commentary.
She goes on to write this, which I don't disagree with.
"If they were really worried about O’Connell, and didn’t think he was going to develop, they would have signed someone who would have been a clear-cut No. 2 like Brian Griese, someone who would have eliminated any thought of competition."
Thoughts?
