Haynesworth vs. Pepper altercation on sideline

First time I heard of O'Brien and BB arguing. IMO, the whole first half could be laid at O'Brien's feet. The Giants had 8 or 9 men in the box. For heaven's sake, he had Brady setting up with 7 step drops!!!!!!!!!!

Giants went into the game a poor team against the run. So the Patriots came out running. I get it. That's fine. Then the Giants stick everyone in the box, and we have more running and Brady setting up deep for long throws.

Shouldn't Brady be able to audible out of such ridiculous plays? God knows he audibles into the "deep seam underthrow 87" for an INT every few games.

Vereen is the best second round bench warmer the Patriots have drafted in awhile. Most of our benchwarmers get injured at this point in the season. Not Vereen however, he has managed to warm the bench completely healthy. Ridley was taken as our 3 snap specialist. He excels in only getting 3 snaps a game.

Injuries for benchwarmers usually happen in their second season. See: Price, Taylor.

It is too bad if Haynesworth was benched if he was, he actually was disruptive when he was in. Contrary to what many in the local media say, the guy does make a difference on the field even if it isn't in the stats column. He consistency draws a double team and does push back the pile to let others to get free.

Haynesworth got blown way out of position on Jacob's TD run.

After that, I never saw him in again.

I saw that too. But that was the only time I saw him give up ground during this entire game. Up until that point, he was dominant, and was constantly demanding of double teams.

Hey look, someone else who actually watches the goddamn game.

Haha I love it, this team is well on it's way to imploding. It has to happen to motivate Krafty Bob to clean house here.

The last time it looked like a team was imploding was the Jets,3 wins ago

I can only hope this team implodes if that is what it takes to get back to winning.

Sanchez will be gone before BB and Brady. How long can that kid be cuddled? He's not gonna become what you dream of him becoming( Brady).

Sanchez will probably win a playoff game this year, too....

BOB can't control TB's accuracy or OC's route running.....but he can control the play selection...unless Brady see's something way out of whack on the D, he'll call the play BOB sends in.....

With one yd to go WTF are you trying to finesse?????????

BJGE gets that one yd 98% of the time.....Woody is not a power back...and who believes Brady is gonna THROW with one yd to go???

Dumb...dumb...dumb.....

BOB should be stupid SOB.

Musical running backs. Pick one RB and let him run the ball. BJGE or Ridley. Let Woody be the change of pace 3rd down RB.

Why, is he going to be released and a playoff team are going to claim him on waivers?

At this point I'd feel better about coaxing Pepper Johnson and Rodney Harrison out of retirement and getting them onto the field than some of the players who we're waiting to see contribute on the roster.

For that matter, Troy Brown's in the area a lot these days.

Let's re-sign him and get him out there as a WR as well as a DB.

Actually, this is what NECN said. Notice it isn't all about Haynesworth here, that's not good talk radio. got to demonize people.

There was also a mini-shouting match on the sideline at one point, with Haynesworth, Jerod Mayo and Pepper Johnson involved. Belichick came over at one point to talk to Johnson, and I couldn't tell what he said, but it was probably, "Maybe you should all shut up." They did.

Thanks for highlighting that…I did not know how to do it so I linked the whole article.

you have been happy since the game started yesterday about pats losing...are you a jets fan ?
Just look at when he joined, Jan 2011, ring a bell?

A lot of you must watch a different game than Pepper and Mike Reiss and even Greg Bedard do (who said Haynesworth spent more time on the ground that upright yesterday. I listened to Bill when they asked him about this incident on WEEI and whether Haynesworth's absence in the second half was coaching decision...he basically said they did have a rotation and wanted to get guys in, so it would be coaching decision... It was alright...

ANALYSIS: DT Albert Haynesworth played one second-half snap, in which he was dominated on Brandon Jacobs’ 10-yard touchdown run. Bill Belichick said it was strictly rotational, and from a coaching perspective, one can respect a coach who doesn’t want to publicly call out a player. At the same time, it was clear it was more than rotational. Haynesworth wasn’t part of the short-yardage package at the end of the game, and there would be no rotation for that. …

One thing many of the offseason additions seem to have in common this season is no sense of urgency when it comes to contributing with anything resembling consistent performance... Either they can't or they don't grasp that that is what it takes for a team to win consistently and compete for championships in this league.

A moment of silence for BendButDontBreak37, there goes have the entertainment of the gameday threads. Although I'm sure someone will step up and take his place...:bricks:

I saw it as a mixed bag, he was either pushing the pocket or was completely blown up. No middle ground.

Even if he did get in an argument with Peppers he still should have seen more reps in the 2nd half. They knew exactly what type of low life, lazy jerk he was when they brought him in. The Patriots made their bed and know it is time to sleep in it.

The best thing this team can do right now is deactivate Haynesworth and Ocho. They bring nothing to this team. Didn't he do that to Terry Glenn?
