He is the DC of the broncos. Hasn't brady destroyed every del rio D he has ever faced? Anyone know the stats?

    Some facts about those games:

    - Even when apparently Brady dominates his schemes, he has never thrown 300+ yds in a single game vs JDR.
    - NE offense has posted 400+ yds on the last 3 games vs JDR.
    - On a 2-game stretch in 2008-09 seasons, Brady posted this numbers:
    26/28, 262 yds, 3 TD, 0 INT
    23/26, 267 yds, 4 TD, 0 INT
He had completion streaks of 16, 12 and 15 passes on those games.
    - NE has a total of 3 turnovers on those 6 games.
    - Despite the success of the passing game vs JDR, here is the rushing numbers for NE (apparently the reason for no 300-yd game):
    Att-Yds-TD
    32-84-1
    28-118-0
    30-117-2
    29-145-1
    36-197-1
    54-251-3

A total of 912 yds on 209 carries (4.4 avg) and 8 TDs.

Well, that does it for me. There is no one better to lead the NY Jets as HC/GM than Jack Del Rio!

Brady also set the playoff completion percentage record against Del Rio.

I'm betting Fox has more input on the Broncos defense than Del Rio, especially with Peyton there now to run the offense. Even so, Pats only lost one game, 27-17 to Fox in 2005. Fox's defenses are solid though and it's definitely improved this year.

I'm not taking the Broncos lightly at all. If Fox's D can hang with the Pats and Jake Delhomme running his offense in the Superbowl, Peyton makes them pretty scary....in the regular season that is;)

Seriously, I don't think Del Rio's history means much. They will be really tough especially if we have to play them at Mile High.

I was at the game in Jacksonville in 2006 when MJD bounced off two defenders and took off for a touchdown. Brady took a hard (and dirty IMO) hit to his shoulder. He had to come off the field for a play then came back on and fired an absolute laser over the middle. You could tell from the stands that he was pissed off after that.

You can't say this isn't a good sign for us vs. Denver defense in the playoffs.

Now if we could just neutralize their offense....

You do realize that that defense in Week 5 did neutralize that offense for 3 quarters. Now it was aided by the offense but the D did deserve some credit.

With 2 minutes left in the third quarter it was 31-7.

Patriots deciding to go for it on 4 downs and Brady getting sacked set the Broncos up on the NE 43. Which made it 31-21. gotta believe if they were to meet again and the Pats were in a similar position they would be punting.

They held Manning to only two long successful drives that game. That was with Arrington and Moore as the #2 & #3 corners (although Dennard did come in the game) and McCourty wasn't playing safety.

This Broncos offense has skyrocketed since then, our defense has improved as well, but not like their offense has.

The thing we have going for us on defense is Talib. If he could minomize Thomas one on one somehow, that offense would have trouble. The whole offense is two WRs, two JAG TEs, and a crappy RB.

Brady has never lost to del rio maybe but we also need to worry about a peyton manning this time. Unless we play defense in the playoffs, brady vs del rio is irrelevant and we will be remembered as the colts of the 2000s. Terrific offense which media and fans go nuts about but cant stop the other team when it counts.
