Since we haven't had a thread on this for at least a week I thought one was overdue, so here it is. I'll start with my obviously shoot-from-the-hip predictions. Have fun debating, but remember this thread is just about players who played in the Golden Era of Kraft; we've had enough other threads to discuss the Tippetts and Cappellettis of the world. :)

    Lead Pipe Mortal Locks
    Tom Brady
    Randy Moss
    Junior Seau

    Better than even money
    Richard Seymour
    Corey Dillon
    Curtis Martin

Possible, but don't bet on it
    Adam Vinitieri
    Rodney Harrison
    Tedy Bruschi
    Ty Law

Longer shots than the off-the-wall, off-the-floor, over-the-backboard, nothing-but-net shots from the Larry Bird - Michael Jordan H-O-R-S-E game commercial:
    Drew Bledsoe
    Willie McGinest
    Mike Vrabel
    Troy Brown
Asante Samuel (at this point in his career)

    OK, who am I forgetting?

I think Willie Mac may have a decent shot. Tedy, as much as I love him falls into the last category.

    #75 Jersey

Izzo, I think has a shot. Just on his STs credentials. He's made the probowl several times. Eventually I hope Wilfork and Welker falls at least into the longshot category. I think Matt Light will eventually have a pretty decent chance.

A lot of guys from dynasties (and especially from unbeaten teams) get in that otherwise would be "who's that" to average football fans 5 or more years after they retire. How many guys from the 70s Cowboys & Steelers or the 72 Dolphins are in?

Downgrade Seymour at least one level and upgrade Vrabel at least one level.

    Disable Jersey

Vinitrator upgraded one level but sadly fugettaboutit for Harrison, he's hated. It's a popularity contest, thus the Vinitraitor wins.

Rodney Harrison, and Adam Vinatieri are "better than even money" and Ty Law is close to a 50-50 shot.

Harrison, Vinateri and Law all have a better chance at getting in than Corey Dillon. I don't like Dillon's chances at all. He has a 20-25% chance.

What are you smoking? If Steve Tasker can't get into the Hall of Fame, no other special teamer is getting in.

Seymour has a much better shot. He's been on a few All-Pro teams, is likely to be on a few more and would be the most accomplished member of the 2003-2004 defense. Vrabel just made his firm Pro Bowl team in his 30's and doesn't really have a prayer of getting in to the Hall.

    #12 Jersey

Curtis Martin, though he had 3 great seasons with the Pats , he will go in as a Jet, and he is a hall of famer..

I think that Law has a very good chance, base don a comparison between him and Deion Sanders:

Vinitieri would have to break the mold of no kickers (except Jan Stenarud) in the hall. He certainly has his supporters, but I still think he is a longer than long shot.

He is as dead mortal a lock as anyone on the list, other than Brady. Statistically he's one of the all time great running backs.

What? No one wants to argue about Drew Bledsoe? Man, things have sure changed a lot in the past 6 years...

so let me get this straight--your dreadful season is over, so you've decided to pollute our boards?

    super!

It really is amazing to have a dynasty over a 5 to hopefully 10 year period and have only one player that is a mortal lock to go in the HOF with that jersey on. Although I think BB and Mr Kraft will get in also.

    #50 Jersey

If Mankins continues to play the way he has, I think he'll be a lock. He's fast approaching the John Hannah level of play. Dan Koppen could earn a spot.

Corey Dillon should make it because of all the seasons he spent in Cincy putting up good numbers for junk teams.

I think that Harrison will get in, but on the veterans committee, not on initial balloting.

At least from what we hear, there is not one player that would vote for him.

Vinatieri might go but he really, really shouldn't. I'd put him behind Morten Andersen, Gary Anderson and Jason Elam in his own generation and I doubt all 3 of them are making the Hall.

He's played two seasons. With this line of logic, there are 60 current HOFs playing right now in the league. That must be some kind of record.
