    Here is the list of the 124 finalists. Ben Coates, Andre Tippett, Raymond Clayborn, and Russ Francis on the list for the Pats. Hopefully Tippett gets the recognition he deserves for this award. The other guys have no chance.

    I don't include Hank Ellard or Fred Smerlas as Patriots since they were on the down side of their careers when they got here. Same with Nick Lowrey since was only here one year at the beginning of his career. Ernie Zampese was here one year smoking up a storm screwing up Bledsoe with these short passes that was clearly not Bledsoe's strengths.

    Once again, Stanley Morgan, Steve Nelson, and Gino Cappulette get screwed. Granted Gino will never get in with the anti-AFL bias.

    I hope Smerlas gets a good look. He was arguably the best nose tackle to ever play. Unfotuynately, the Bills played pretty poorly many of the years he was there, and playing an unglamorous position on a bad team doesn't usually mean an entrance to Canton.
