Halliburton is having the rug puled out from underneath them. Come Fall...they will be just one of 3 companies contracting with the military. There will be a 4th company overseeing the 3 service companies.

Isn't Bechtel, the primary contractor for the big dig, a subsidiary of Halliburton?? Seems as though they are having problems on a couple of fronts, but remember there is no need to bid as they have the equipment to do the job.

Bechtel and Halliburton are not related.

FBN...you consider yourself a moderate correct?

Why is it that fiscal responsibility is now a democrat/liberal issue?

Can't we agree that the no bid contracts were bogus from the start and the complete lack of accountability that ensued had to be corrected?

Its funny that liberal/democrat is now being associated with fiscal responsibility. Thats another voting bloc the GOP has lost under Bush and his corrupt Abramoff Congress - fiscal conservatives.

Just using Clinton as an example vs Bush I and Bush II...Patters and I had discussed that for the GOP to say they are the fiscal conservatives will be tough. The GOP can say it was the war and maybe some will buy it...but Bush has approved every spending bill to go by his desk that was non-war related.

Well we know how elections are spun so who knows where it will go...but for me...I currently see the democrats to be more fiscally conservative than the republicans.
