The defense has been absolutely awesome. They are playing with walk-ons and they have given up 7 points.

Let's hope that the Jets' OC is as bad as their fans claim and they fail to adjust

Love the pressure on Sanchez

Jets always play better in 2nd half..lets hope the pats improve on O as well

It really is too bad the offense sucks. Defense is playing lights out.

We desperately need a score on our first drive to give our defense some cushion.

Carter and Anderson have been so good rushing the passer. Anderson isn't just being used situationally either.

Well, the Pats defense cannot stop a nose bleed, but apparently they can stop Sanchez and the offense at least in the first half.

Am a bit worried though that losing McCourty may be too much to overcome. The front seven need to make up for the loss.

I wouldn't say the offense sucked. We were backed up quite a few times, and outside the two 3 and outs backed in Jets territory, we moved the ball pretty well. I expect the 2nd half will be much better.

Sterling Moore..... from working at "Mobile on the run" to playinging against
the pass and stopping the run......

Hope DMC is ok.

Andre Carter is a beast. He has something like 7 sacks in the past 4 games now.

They held up just long enough until the offense took over. Amazing night for BB, no Chung and then McCourty went out, they've got Arrington and a bunch of street FA's out there right now.

Wonder if the chicken littles understand that BB would rather have a JAG do the job correctly than an all pro doing his own thing out there. Thats what the teams under BB have been all about.

When the chips were down the defense carried the team. Couldn't be prouder of that effort.

Nice tweet by Ian Rapaport:

The Patriots defense held. What an incredible performance by a bunch of guys who don't have Wikipedia pages.

Are you kidding me? That's not the way it's done! Haynesworth is critical! BB doesn't know what he is doing and is borderline senile! Fire BB now! The defense is awful! The OL can't block! The WRs can't get open! The season is over! The Patriots won't be good again for a generation!

I wonder if the chicken littles can show even a brief moment of control over their emotions -- which seem to rule their "thought process" -- and consider the bigger picture. Who knows, maybe even a modicum of humility?

Unfortunately, in the 2 previous games to this game, if the O had performed even moderately close to what they did in the second half of the Jets game (they were unsatisfactory at best in the first half), the Patriots win the Giants game handily and have a solid shot at beating the Steelers.
