Guyton: Patriots starting offseason program ASAP

Forget Ray Lewis, Gary Guyton is far more likely to succeed in BB's defensive scheme. If he adds some muscle in the next couple season's, he and May could be an absolute force in the middle. both being used as three down LB's.

They need to focus on the OLB, S, CB positions on defense. The could sign Taylor to play OLB for all i care, they just need an upgrade over Crable and Woods.

I truly hope they sign Chris McCalister to play CB, absolute animal in zone coverage. And they could sign Rodney for one more year or draft Delmas.

This Offseason is very critical to the success of the defense this season. As of right now I see this defense as mediocre at best.

I too feel that Guyton will be the starting ILB next to Mayo. He did show some rookie mistakes last year but show a tremendous amount of raw talent and did improve significantly throughout the year.

Gary Guyton is on a distinguished path.

It seems like the young guys on this team are ready to WORK to win. I love the fact that football takes so much effort. It seperates the greats from the purely talented.
