This is a dumb trade (in my opinion)

Gronk:
Positives:
1. Best Tight End in the game
2. Gronk is signed up long term at a decent contract
Negatives:
1. Gronk has an injury that is not career threatening, although he has proven to be a bit injury prone (probably cause he never runs out of bounds or dives)
2. Gronk seems to be a good teammate, although his off field antics could be a potential issue in the future

Revis:
Positives:
1. Best CB in the game
2. His 1 year remaining is attractive price wise
Negatives:
1. He's only under contract for 1 year, then will want top dollar.
2. Not a team oriented player -- Consistently threatens to hold out.
3. Serious injury. May not be 100% next season -- the only season we have him

I've got no problem replying in this thread and bumping it as an example of a terrible idea.

The two poll options should be:

- I stuck a crayon up my nose
- **** no

Definately not. Not unless Hell freezes over and even then I am not sure I would want a trade like this!!

ugh, the post-season. .....

Would you make this trade?

I wouldn't trade any of our core players for Revis.

I'd offer from this group,
Mallett
Vereen
Bolden
Dowling
Francis
Bequette

Other than that just draft picks. Maybe I'd consider Ridley but if Champ Bailey netted a RB and a 2nd in his prime and not a torn ACL I'm not willing to give the 2nd best receiving threat in the NFL up for Revis.

LMFAO imagine if Gronk was on the Jets, Mark Sanchez would still overthrow him and his 6'6" frame. :D

Once again, everyone jumps the gun assuming the OP meant Gronkowski for Revis, when it's obvious he means "Revis" to be some sort of Regent or Overlord Of All Creation...you see?...in that context, why hell yeah!!! Gronk for Revis Of All Creation!,,of course..I COULD be wrong about this...

This message is hidden because TB=TD is on your ignore list.

Follow my lead and I won't lead you in the wrong direction.

Is this thread a joke? He’s only been in the league for three years and you can realistically say he might end up being the best or second best Tight End of all time. He is dominating offensively and is locked up long term and he buys into the Patriot way. You do NOT give up a player like that.

Also let’s not forget these brilliant, young skill position players who are locked up long term will very much help whoever our next QB will be in 4 or 5 years

I guess forums are made to debate things. But this isn't even a question

lets trade brady, gronk, ahern and our 1st for revis. Great deal IMO

What about 3 Revises for 1 Gronk? Or 7 Revises for 1 Brady? Or 1000 Sanchezes for 1 Ballboy?

Gronk for Revis?

How about.... no.

The results of this poll are hilarious.

When you adjust for the margin of trolldom, -2 people agree with the OP.

NOPE, when healthy Gronk is easily the pats best receiving and biggest physical mis-match on offense

all of a sudden people want to say he's injury prone because last year: pollard twisted his ankle in the AFC championship game, and this year he had a freak accident which derailed his season

This is a horrific thread.
