    I think Dimetroff was a keeper. He might have challenged Bill just enough to move him off his spot. Caserio is more in the mold of Pioli, the guy who locates talent for the system. Dimetroff isn't wed to it so he didn't box himself in trying to replicate it. As everyone else who moved on to move up did. His success in Atlanta is testament to what happens when you develop FO and coaching talent only to have it blocked for advancement by the status quo. Pioli left a year too late. Dimetroff is actually the one guy I could see Kraft persuing when the day comes that Bill departs. Not someone trying to maintain a status quo that simply won't be maintainable once Bill and the QB depart. A guy to chart a new course into a new era.
