Great article by one of the NFL haters

That line has become a running gag over the years.

Well technically, they're dynasty was finished some years ago, since usually a dynasty is like 3-4 rings within 4-6 years.

For the patriots to make and win the super bowl, they need to carry a strong mentality heading into these playoff games, seriously.

You can say "ooh they need a defense" or "oh they need a big physical receiver" and all that, but that doesn't mean anything if they are always tense and pressured in these playoff games.

when the giants won last year, their defense wasn't very good at all (it was only their pass rush that was good), and their running game was complete crap.

when the saints won in 09, they're defense wasn't very good either. Even the '06 Colts weren't anything to take seriously on defense.

But those teams won because in the playoffs, they had "We can beat you" mentality that Pats don't seem to have much anymore.

I disagree with you. They've made it to the SB and AFCCG in back to back years, and had some key injuries coupled with lucky breaks and bounces for the Giants. 4 fumbles and they recover them all? Are you kidding me? How about the Manning to WR "X" game winning super catch again?

This team does NOT have a lack of "we can beat anyone mentality."

Much like many things in life, if you bang on the door long enough you will probably eventually kick it in, and they continue to set themselves up for success every single year.

They still need an area or two improved and they need to avoid the kind of key injuries than can derail championships. Other than that, they don't need a damn thing else.

Exactly. Having a first round bye 3 years in a row now hardly makes them trending in the wrong direction.

I'd be interested in knowing how having 25 million dollars in cap space this season and locking up all 3 of Brady, Gronkowski, and Hernandez (with Welker possibly on the horizon) could somehow make you a poorer team all of a sudden.

Articles like these are just looking to stir up controversy in order to achieve more hits, nothing else. No one could be that dumb, especially considering the fact that there are really only a handful of teams who can even compete with them in the AFC.
