Pats signings
The Patriots announced the signings of four of their 2006 draft choices: wide receiver Chad Jackson, tight end David Thomas, placekicker Stephen Gostkowski and outside linebacker Jeremy Mincey.

Jackson signed a four-year deal, while Mincey inked a three-year pact. Terms of the deals for Thomas and Gostkowski are unknown.

That leaves only first-rounder Laurence Maroney without a contract.

The team also signed first-year wide receiver Keron Henry and waived offensive tackle Jon Doty.

The 23-year-old Henry (6-1, 222) was signed by the Saints as a rookie free agent out of the University of Connecticut in 2005. He was on the Saints' practice squad for the first three weeks of last season. After the season, he signed with the Chargers and was allocated to NFL Europe. The Chargers waived Henry on June 1. At UConn, Henry transitioned from quarterback to wide receiver and totaled 102 receptions.

Doty was signed as a first-year free agent on June 8

All but one. Am I the only one worried about getting Maroney locked up?

I'm not all that worried. There are not a lot of 1st round picks signed so far.

Who gets cut now??????

With the signings...a few players 3..must go..and soon. Henry is NFLE so Doty OL gone...Henry WR in..a swap. But 3 and then when Marney signs another. I still think Shelton, G.Williams and???

Yes - not to worry

I think you are. His money is locked in now, as there's a rookie salary cap allotment. It's just a matter of the structure now.

Thanks Guys I love this board.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe that Mario Williams is the only first round pick that has signed. No worries, Maroney will be there and ready to help carry the load.

Wimbley has signed; the Bears have signed all their picks, I forget who their #1 is.

Yeah I actually just saw the Wimbley post after I posted that. Still, that was only two days ago so any worries are unwarranted at this point :D

Does anybody else have to get cut right now? If 5 players are going to be placed on the PUP list do they still count towards the total, or does that buy a few players a little more time?

Well that's why I forgot, I guess :) I had a link to all the signings but I've lost it unfortunately.

Well, given the rate at which the draft picks have been coming in, and the fact that there will be no 5 or 6 year deal controversey, I guess we should see him strap on the pads come Friday.

The anticipation is killing me.
