I'm fine with Ellis :
- He's a great value at #7.
- He's a badly needed backup for Wilfork.
- He can play DE for us although he's shorter than desired.
- He can play a decent amount in passing and short yardage downs.
Between rotating in to give the starters a break, passing downs and short yardage he'd get plenty of snaps. And, right now, God help us if Wilfork has a serious injury.
Of course, he could also be a beast the moment he steps on the field, a guy you simply have to play because he's better than what you've got.
