If they are working to legalize this, doesn't it mean the POTUS broke the law? Very strange wording. Alas, instead of holding HIM accountable for high crimes, instead, they attempt to rework the legality of said crimes.

    Simply astonishing.

As long as the "investor class" and those who aspire to this position in society are content with their earnings and tax breaks things will stay the same for them, however when this starts to melt away and there is "less" for them there may be some hope for change. It is easier to drink the koolaid when you are making big cash. Too many folk are distracted and wrapped up in their pursuit of the American Dream, so much so they are ignoring the obvious. This will change as it always does, and then a lot more will notice their civil liberties have been compromised.

I wouldn't expect that out of much of the Bush base. Take these comments:

"you would be infringing on their rights, civil liberties, freedom, racism and all the rest of the "LIBERAL CRAP"."-unnamed resident board racist

See, some people are either so easily manipulated or so thoroughly racist, they think civil liberties and freedom are some new, radical ideals in America. Its that reptilian instinct that the hate/fear mongers of the GOP pander to (Rove's blueprint). Take the wedge issues they pull out every election year to get these people to the polls: gay marriage being the latest.
They are not afraid to change the image of america if it advances their political movement. Then, they can slap each other on the back and say "we won", but what have they won? Authoritarianism- no better than our worst enemies' forms of government. These types of people are what we should really fear - the hate-fear race party. They are traitors in my book.
