This is unbelievable. I am not sure that Stevens will want this endorsement.

Obviously he made a monumental error ;) but a lot of people rank him fairly high.

Better than FDR, Teddy, Truman, Ike, Reagan, etc? Wow, if you rank him above those gentlemen then I think you might be a distant relative to the Nixon family.

I didn't say I do - I'm not a historian, I don't rank Presidents. But I had several teachers in high school/college who think he was one of the better ones until . . . you know.

An interesting factoid, that despite all of AK's mineral wealth, permanent fund and pending Exxon Valdez Settlement etc. Alaska receives the highest per capita federal dollar right behind Virginia.. so he and Stevens must be doing something right for the Alaska citizens..

BTW what really irks me was that in the bailout bill, the money received from the Exxon Valdez Settlement will be tax free on fed income tax.. that is pretty nice. Wonder why that was put into the bill.. no pork eh???

yeah, scrapping that gold standard was a genius move... printing up more and more money....

you could say Dick Nixon was the root cause of our financial bubble burst today...
