think the play calling for the pats really allowed miami to stay i n it.

How bad was Miami's play calling, though? Two times on third and one we threw the abll. Our fullback has a 100% success rate on 3rd or 4th and one over the past two years. And he has at least 25 attempts.
 
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to see this. how many 3rd downs did we blitz and get quick pressure on Henne, but the WRs weren't touched so they just blew the corners off the line and he was able to make the quick check down.
I'd like to see the percentage of completions against soft defense compared to when the WR is bumped, and then fax it to BB

It really was a contradicting plan they threw out there. When you blitz, the idea is to cut down a lot of those alleys and short throws by rotating your defense and leaving the deep area of the field vacated. I think that's the single reason we put Ted Ginn on offense, to keep your safeties at bay.
