Good, concise analysis of Pats offense

What the Giants did in two Super Bowls and the Bengals did in the beginning yesterday, get lots of pressure and keep Brady off his game.....if possible.
Only problem with that is, we didnt see this offense in the first half at all. Bennett almost didnt play in the first half.
When they finally put him out there with Gronk, the bengals had no answer.

It wasn't just pressure. Don't underestimate healthy Gronk impact. Can throw it to him even in press coverage, even when covered.

The Patriots learned from those two Super Bowls which is why they've assembled a bevy of guys able to get off the jam and into routes quickly OR can "box out" space around a jam so that common release time is less than 2.5 sec. In the 2007 Super Bowl the Giants bracketed Welker off the line and allowed Moss the deeper sideline routes with inside technique assuming there wouldn't be time to complete them. We took that bait and kept running long developing plays which led to that heavy pressure.

And now they have Gronk insurance too, assuming we don't play Burfict again.

The 3-down RB is so hard to find. Not sure who was out there when we had a pick to make
In hindsight no one but they should have drafted someone.:p

I think this offense is the culmination of what they've been trying to do over the past 4-5 years. Bennett represents the final piece of the puzzle. When Lewis comes back, it will be unlike anything we've ever seen before.

I read the phrase somewhere "Now we will show them the power of this fully operational Death Star." That's how it feels! We will be destroying planets with this juggernaut.

I'm just praying everyone stays healthy so we can see how it does through the playoffs.

Nice analysis! Looks like Blount could have taken that run to the house if Bennett had not come down looking for a block and instead went for the guy who lined up across him. Oh well! Still lots of potential!:)
