Good Chance We're Getting a 100% Easley This Upcoming Season

What we seem to know is that Easley might need to lose weight or to gain weight to be effective.

IMHO, we haven't a clue with regard to how good Easley can be. Obviously, Belichick gave his 1st round draft pick as much experience as he could before putting him on IR.

The issue with many of Belichick's picks is health. Sometimes choosing player at a health discount works very well, for example with Gronkowski and Cannon. Other times, the player just get injured again nd again (Dowling and Crable). Overall, this strategy has worked well for the patriots. We should not be at all alarmed at the failures that are sure to come when injured players are drafted. Obviously, a healthy Easley would have been unavailable to us.

Easley may end up being a solid starter and a fine inside pass rusher, or he may be a valuable role player for the next three years. IMHO, it really doesn't matter. Belichick added Easley, Siliga and Chris Jones. As a group, once we acquire a NT, we should have a fine set of DT's.

BOTTOM LINE
The team took a great step forward in adding Easley, Siliga and Chris Jones. This year is likely the year to add a NT. The alternative is to bring back Wilfork and draft his replacement.
