That was a good article. We have a lot of competiton at db this year, but I'm hoping he is the long term solution. I'm excited to see him play in this upcoming game.

I can't wait to come into the Living Room during a game, while my wife is yelling that the Patriots just got the ball on an interception. I say "Who did it?" She, time and time again this season responds: The Butler Did It.

    P.S. - Sorry.

Quick, big, and capable of playing press coverage. He has the potential to be the best CB that BB has ever drafted.

Big by recent Patriots standards anyway. 5'10" 185 is pretty average for a CB, isn't it?

Regardless, I agree he has great potential. Can't wait for tomorrow and he's one of the big reasons. Him, Chung, and Brady's return.

All I can think about is tomorrow. I'm going to use that to get me through my shift today.

With the depth at corner, Butler might get less playing time this season than, say, Chung at safety. But Shawn Springs won't be around very long due to his age, so Butler won't be warming the bench for very long...

That's what I meant. I probably should have made that a little more clear.

    This Butler could do it

More on Butler and the corners: This Butler could do it by Glen Farley of the Quincy Patriot Ledger

Butler has also shown tremendous quick twitch. If he continues to learn the playbook and shows he can cover slot receivers, he could be the 3rd CB as Wilhite and Wheatley are more outside CB's.

Yeah - and doing it in the regular season can be very different from the pre-season too

But I do know he's one of the few (only?) Patriots I saw play in college - and he looked like a man among boys on the field for UConn - I have some hopes that he'll actually do something similar here.
