I am tired of all the gloom and doom threads on here. Our boys are across the pond and about to showcase our favorite game to the rest of the world and garner as many new fans as possible for the NFL.

Despite all the injuries and problems thus far on defense, we have won four games and lost the other three by a measly 4 points at the very end of the game. We are about three plays away from being 7-0.

I think our boys are going to go over there to London and make us proud! I think they are going to win, whether it's ugly, like last week, or pretty, like week 1. Let's support them instead of pointing out everything that's wrong (and I admit to a few negative posts myself in the last week).

Here are some good things to cheer about:

Tom Brady, Wes Welker and Gronk will all be on the field on Sunday
Big Vince will be on the field on Sunday
IMO BB hates Jeff Fisher and will try really hard to beat him
Josh McDaniels coached Sam Bradford and should know some ways to beat him
Our improved turnover ratio may continue
If the Pats stay on course and have more than 350 yards of offense, they will break the Rams' record for most consecutive games with more than 350 yards of offense

Those are a few I can think of off the top of my head. Please add more if you like. Please don't add negative stuff as there are plenty of other threads on the board you can add to for that.

    GO PATRITOTS!! BEAT THE RAMS!!

+1 to positive thoughts for this Pats team!

I believe they have a great chance to win against a mostly anemic (28th ranked) rams offense that is missing amendola at wideout.
Sam Bradford has yet to impress despte his lofty draft status.

    Let's go get em Pats!

Good job, Deb. I'm frankly amazed at all the negativity being drummed up by not only the "fans" here, but by the media. You'd think this team was 2-5 by the sound of things.

    No Jersey Selected

I'm with Deb too! I'd heard today on WEEI that the Pats did practice in a public park today in front of a crowd of 25 people.

That smells of something the winning team does.

Agreed! We will be 1/2 way through the regular season after this game. Let's enjoy it!

I hear you on that. But like Brady said, most people don't realize how truly hard it is to win in the NFL. It's a very competitive league. So, we should just be happy with wins regardless of style points.

Nobody here complains about the win per se, people just get worried about a poor performance and what that means for this team's aspirations. If they win the SuperBowl 2-0 and Brady throws 15 picks, I couldn't care less, I'll celebrate my ass off. But when they struggle to beat the Jets at home in a game many here thought would be a statement after a heartbreak at Seattle, it's a little bit concerning. It's a bit frustrating to see a team this talented be consistently inconsistent. Now, people shouldn't be *****ing and moaning about it, as some have been, but you can't just take the result of the game and throw away how it all played out.

Why do you think BB hates Fisher? I'm just curious to know why.

First thought that comes to mind is that Fisher's teams tend to be really dirty - who here can forget Bobby Wade's cheapshot on Rodney? Probably cost the Pats another Super Bowl.

I dunno if Belichick hates Fisher, but I doubt he has any respect for him.

Isn't it weird how Hightower almost makes Mayo look small?

Fun fact: while Wikipedia'ing Mayo, I learned that his children were born exactly one year apart, to the day. Not only do they get to be Irish twins, but they'll always have the same birthday parties and whatnot... nice

If I recall correctly it was a lot more than just that. While Harrison was down on the ground Fisher was jumping up and down, pumping his fists as if they had just won the game with no time left on the clock. A couple minutes later Fisher still had a smile on his face while the Titans sideline was laughing and celebrating.

Now this is just speculation but you consider those scenes, add in the Saints' bounty investigation, and remember that Fisher and Gregg Williams are old friends - Williams was Fisher's DC for four years and he hired him to be his DC in St. Louis before he got suspended - it's really not that much of a stretch to believe that Fisher and the Titans had some sort of a bounty to take Rodney Harrison out of that game with a cart-off injury.

I'm trying to remember when the injury happened but I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) it happened late in the game when the outcome of a Patriots victory was not in doubt. If that's correct then it makes the jubilation shown by Fisher and his team even more suspect.

The only fans not sharing this gripe are those of the Atlanta Falcons. This is the NFL, ca. 2012. Throw expectations out the window and be happy with whatever wins fall our way.

Fisher was on the comp committee or rules committee for years wasn't he???...didn't he make a whole bunch of changes designed to screw with BB? IIRC

Not only that, but Fisher's teams have a reputation of dirty play.
