A little on the GWOT which is off the MSM radar.

    http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/news/story.html?id=7ff15ab5-0480-4001-8d98-373e8aa04ad8

    More on Iraq specifically:

Much more of course at the links. As usual when gains are being made the US media is silent...

shhhhhhh, it will be much better when, instead of killing them, we sit down with them and legitimize thier existence. Afterall, look at how much better of Israel is, now that Clinton made them sit down and talk with Arafat. oops, nevermind.

And the most hysterical thing is come January and after, when the real tangible results begin to shine and the MSM picks up on it, Obooma will be president and all the praise will be heaped on him for WINNING the WoT. :singing:

Politics is such a fukcing joke.

There's not supposed to be any good news about anything until
Mr & Mrs Messiah "Move In"

GW Bush has been known to create earthquakes & floods.

If there are no earthquakes & floods in 2009 that will mean the Messiah Barack is truly "The Golden Chosen One"

The news has been good over in Iraq. It's too bad the media in this country refuses to report it. In Sadr City the people welcomed the IA with flowers. It could all fall apart at any instance, but thankfully things look like they're headed in a positive direction. The longer it moves that way, the sooner more of our bravest can come home.

the # of attacks dropping so much world wide is also a big deal , along with the drop in OBL popularity in the Muslim world, both of with are the opposite of what the left predicted.

Speaking of rinse-repeat... Look at our resident blood-hounds congregating together to play "told ya" whenever a story surfaces that "validates" their tired position!!! Bunch of Horshacks.... Oh!! Oh!! Oh!!!!

What's "usual" is the media's profound SILENCE when atrocities are committed in Iraq. You trying to paint the opposite picture is really rather pathetic. Every time I turn on the CORPORATE media, i see one glowing, distorted, bullshyt depiction of Iraq after another. Not sure what media you're watching, but you appear to have a very conveniently selective memory.

From what I've heard, Obi was much worse than I am (although, didn't you guys come to some kind of understanding?), and Fog...well that's just low. :D

Thanks for posting a link that seems to support the premise that our WOT was a waste of life and money. It's interesting to see that in regions where the US isn't particularly active, terrorism is declining. In fact, your link says that 2 of the 3 countries where terrorism is not declining are Pakistan and Afghanistan, where the US is of course very active.

Your Iraq link and other articles I've read suggests that possibly the military option is slowly succeeding in suppressing terrorism in Iraq. But, actually, maybe it has nothing to do with our military? Your article points to a trend going on in the Muslim world, as they discover the oppressive and corrupt nature of the Muslim extremists. For awhile, thanks to our unjust war, the extremists were able to use Arab nationalism to prosper, but now that is failing more or less on it's own. If that's the case, then our boys died for nothing, something which you righties of course cannot admit to.

So how do you explain it then? Perhaps all the little Quedians are drawn to Iraq where they become target practice?

No, I think as extremists get power, people begin to see who they really are. Probably, if you are a religious Muslim, Al Qaeda's and the Taliban's rhetoric sounds good. But, once they are in power, they are awful, and their reputation is on the decline. You see the same phenomenon happening with the Republican Party. :)

And here I was thinking it was because almost all the Republicans were turning into Democrats!

Amybe when Al Queda started butchering Muslims, they didn't look quite as good as when they were killing Americans.

The lib spin which you have always maintained is that Al Queda was riding high because of the US presence in Iraq. The facts don't support your view.

The Calgary Herald is a newspaper that is part of an ultra conservative group of papers called the Canada.com network.

Most of, if not all, of their writers, editors, etc. are all right wing conservatives much in the manner that Rupert Murdoch Newspapers and Clear Channel is down in the states.

Their writing are always slanted to the right.
